Resolutions for a New Year in Business
January 9th 2011 22:18
More than ever I believe that ROI in going to be the name of the game in 2011. I've given a lot of thought to how I am going to approach this year and I've come up with two resolutions that I want to share with you.
1. Work harder
Most people believe that working smarter is the best way to get ahead. They dream of a really smart 4 hour workweek. But, honestly, to truly get ahead you need to work smarter while working harder. That means 50 hours a week at a minimum.
2. Goal setting
It is important for me to set goals. These are short term AND long term goals. Everyday I have a goal for that day, a list of things to accomplish in the chase of the larger goal. The same can be true of each month and each year. The thing about surviving and even thriving in the business world is that you must be willing to do the things in preparation and execution that your competitors are not willing or able to do.
Signing off,
I plan to expand on these ideas and outline some of my own thoughts over the coming year.
I wish the best of luck for everyone in their business endeavors in this year.
