One Week On

Why is it that dieting is so darn hard?!?
I did well the first day and then the weekend arrived and with that presents of chocolate from my husband who had forgotten about the "D" word. I can't allow chocolate to just sit in the fridge for days on end and so over the course of the weekend and with the help of my three and a half year old son ate it all. Thankfully I didn't put any weight on from it. Also hubby decided to get me a bottle of one of my favourite wines so a huge glass went in the dinner I was cooking (a lemon, garlic and white wine chicken dish) and the rest of the bottle drank by me. I'm such a failure aren't I? LOL.
Since Monday though I've been good, no chocolate, no wine and I've even cut down on my other big love which is bread and butter and changed from the lovely taste of white bread to brown bread, which I do enjoy but it just gives me a dicky tummy. I've been doing my exercises each morning and trying to get out for walks with my son in the afternoons. It doesn't help that my hayfever has decided that it wants some company in the form of a cold this week and that I have a poorly husband and a little monkey monster who has picked this week to be the devil's child so I'm run off my feet. But I'm determined to loose a bit of weight by Saturday 24th March as we're all meeting up with some friends to go bowling and I have this cute little jumper I'd like to wear.
And so to my weigh in... I've lost a whole lb. I think it's recommended that you don't loose more than 2lbs a week so I'm half way there, although I have on plenty of occassions lost more than that a week. Here's to hoping it's a couple moe lbs next week.
Now I suppose I better go and get ready for my day ahead which looks weather wise to be a beautiful sun shiny day.
By the way does anyone have any good exercies for the legs, mostly the top inside of the legs please? Thank you.
Take Care.
Sarah.

Flashes of memories
'They' are not far wrong when they say that walking is the best form of exercise... and swimming... it tones up all your muscles... try find somewhere hilly to walk and get a board and kick laps of the pool. It`s still a little chilly over where you are to swim though... maybe a heated pool?
Good luck

Mum's Word
I've just realised the dates on these posts. Are you doing your exercises.
As for the top inside legs, if you lay down, for example, on your left side and lift your left leg towards the ceiling that will work the inside of your thigh. If you can buy some ankle weights then that will increase intensity.
Or...if you just squeeze your knees together and hold you will feel you inner thighs getting a bit of a work out.
Love & stuff

Thank you for the exercising tips. I was doing the lying down leg lift and will get back to doing those. And that's a good idea about swimming too.
Again apologies for being so rude and thank you for the tips.
Take Care.
