One Mandy spin a day - Vampire Wars
September 3rd 2010 00:50
We'll find out more soon enough, but I'm assuming what this restriction means is you can only click once per day on a Mandy buff from your feed, and that's one of any kind of blood magic. (Ie, it's just like getting one of the blood-generating minions -- just one per day of any type.)
I think you can still receive Mandy bonuses randomly from other people (I've got a number of bonuses in effect at the moment). Also, you still get to spin the wheel yourself every four hours.
The main effects might be:
-- (a) reducing the amount of time people spend on VW (unless they're keen to keep using up their rage as they recharge it);
-- (b) slowing down the progress of higher-level vamps to a crawl (at best, you could guarantee one glyph of wisdom per day if you feed-hunt, and one energy buff per day from the Collector);
-- (c) reducing the number of item drops it's possible to amass during events;
-- (d) making the Overachiever trophies a lot harder to get;
-- (e) making having an active clan more important;
-- (f) slowing down levelling in general (and also solving some bot problems). This makes FP more valuable, and encourages people to buy them, since they're harder to get. It also means that e-vamping does not have as much of an advantage as it did before as a playing style.
In other news, re collecting damned souls, someone has suggested that if, after accepting a gift, you click refresh before clicking on yes or no, you'll get a second damned soul.
Not sure if this works, but there it is.
It's probably also worth mentioning, if you haven't figured this out, that you'll need twice as many damned souls as you've previously required for missions of this type.
If I'm doing my maths right, at most you'll need 110 damned souls; at the least you'll need 50.

I understand that the sales of FP is the money maker for them, all the rest is free, but there is gonna come a point where they will put too many restrictions on the game and having taken too much away for it to remain fun for long, they are going to lose their fan base.
Just saying... otherwise, until then, happy hunting to all
