Juan Carlos now has a monthly newsletter titled EN SU GRIP. It is published in their living room, and now has a circulation of 200. Some pretty famous people have read it. In the Roberto DeVicenzo Classic where Juan Carlos was invited and met Roberto, quite a few significant Argentine golfers received the Bulletin. Juan Carlos played with Luis Rojas, the touring pro who received the Lord along with his reluctant wife Erica, was Juan Carlos' partner and they finished 5th in the event. Luis Rojas reprts that his marriage is much better and that their daughter, Bianca, has recovered from her very serious illness.
The Argentine Masters was played in Dec. and Juan Carlos was present. He met Past President of the Republic, Carlos Menen and arranged for a golf date with him. This is the answer to a prayer Jim Hiskey initiated with Juan Caelos; a prayer of over a year ago for Juan Carlos to meet some signifacant Argentine politicans. Menen was very significant, but has lost much of his appeal and self confidence. Menen was gifted a copy of The Mulligan and may well find peace of mind because of the prayers offered in his benefit. He showed a great deal of interest in reading The Mulligan and playing with Juan Carlos in the near future.
Although some of the regulars on the Argentine Tour seem to avoid Juan Carlos, as you might expect, he is recognized by many of them and they seek him out when he is at a tour site. He has been invited to play in the Pro Am at the Tucuman Open. Angel Cabrera will be there as well as Andres and Eduardo Romero, another two international players.
Our Argentine brother has made wonderful inroads into the professional golf industry, not only with the players but also with their agents and other tour officials. It has only been a year and Juan Carlos is reminded of a song they sing at his church. The song is about how the Lord makes roads where there doesn't even seem to be a path. Both Heather and Juan Carlos are humbled by the work the Lord is doing in their lives.
