Kleo -

I love the energy you've created in these images. And those dragons? *goose bumps*.... yeah, they can be felt.

Excellent work! May the creativity remain free-flowing! *smiles*

and deceit of living in a brain-washed world.

Beautifully expressed, Ash. Your poetry creates a realm of its own, one that is warm, inviting, and strangely "familiar".

Ash...

Forgive me for being tardy.

This is such a moving piece. The last stanza couldn't be more perfect, or more reflective of where I am in my life's journey right now...

Waiting for that moment
when they can dance again
in the moonlit night,
and be free and alive.

Hair-raising and tear-jerking.

....... and even though I'm tardy, it's right on time.

I've had my share of toxic relationships and will do anything I can to avoid them at this point. The "costs" far outweigh the gains.

My daughter and I have talked about starting Yoga, and for some reason, it keeps getting pushed back. Right now, it's a matter of time and expense, but I'm well aware that Yoga fits into my life path at some point, and this post is a good reminder.

I haven't been here for a while... there's much to catch up on, I see. I've said it before, but I really must say it again... I really do admire your writing style and the view you have of the world.

Time isn't on my side lately. I'm doing the best I can with what I have... your posts are always worth taking a few extra minutes for, even if those minutes are few and far between. I'm glad I made this one of my stops.

Hope you're well.

on 9 Lasts: Conversation Starters for the Tongue Tied

1. Last errand you ran:

Walmart - was meant to be grocery shopping, but turned out to be a lot of impulse buying (what? I needed a new set of glass-ware, and what home couldn't use a few more incense burners?). It was a multi-faceted trip... first to pick up Rhythm from school (he had after school testing), then Taco Bell (never ever go to the grocery store hungry!), and then to walmart... and the gas station.

2. Last beverage you drank alcoholic or non-alcoholic:

Mountain Dew, or coffee... you pick. They're both in front of me as I type. I'm a two-fisted drinker and a serious caffeine junkie.

I don't drink often, not by a long shot, but I must admit my last acoholic drink was last week. I had a series of rough days, a few spurts of anger, a bit of depression, and so I tucked the kids into bed and then indulged in home-made (the safest way to drink!) kamikazes. Drank enough to let out a few inhibitions, a few tears, a few profanities, a few laughs, and then felt all better.

3. Last kiss: a real one, or a “friend on the cheek" one?

Seriously, and sadly... I don't remember. Yes, it really has been that long (kids not included).

4. Last movie seen:

Took the kids to see Harry Potter on July 31st.

5. Last CD you listened to:

A home-made concoction of collected various music my son burned to cd for me.

6. Last long shower or bubble bath:

Last bubble bath was in June when I was in Vegas. Long shower? Probably sometime last week. Most of them are "quickies" as I'm always rushing to leave for work on time.

7. Last time you cried:

A few hours ago... around 2 p.m. today, actually.

8. Last book you read:

Currently reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. Have been reading it for over a month now and am still only on page 157 of 627 and I bet the library would really like to have it back. *smirk* - It's a really good book, but reading time is limited, so I keep just re-checking it out, hoping time will be kind and eventually I'll get to finish it...

9. Last place you traveled:

Gosh, assuming the 70 mile round trips to work don't count, I'd have to go with Vegas in June to see the eldest graduate high school.

Thanks for asking. And you?? *big smiles*

*nods*... I get it. I tend to naturally "cross-reference" material, so I saw the connection before you pointed it out. *grins*... much of your writings are "parallels", I think. At least, that's how I see them...

I'm not sure how I missed this one... I thought I was reading in order, but must have been distracted or something. I'm glad I came back for a second look; I wouldn't have wanted to miss this...

This is such a beautiful sentiment, so genuine, so pure, so full of raw emotion... and sometimes, having "nothing" to say is more powerful than having "the perfect words".

I think you've said it all...

Gorgeous post.

Hi, Julian -

Good to see you. Realizing this was your most recent post and that it was over a week ago, I felt a bit concerned... and thank you for placing value on my opinions. I appreciate that a great deal.

As for planetary shifts influencing our processes, I don't like to force my opinions or beliefs on others... not at all, but if you're interested in learning more on your own... and by learning more, I mean learning along with me (as opposed to being taught), I post what I'm learning in the "Time and Space" sub-category of the Daily Dose posts each morning. The Earth is but a marble on the pool table of the Universe, so it's my belief that life on earth is influenced by the movements of the planets around us, including the Sun and Moon. But we've had a lot of "planet movement" lately that I feel has much to do with the way I'm feeling and reacting to things around me. Saturn has shifted into a new astrological sign where it will remain for the next 2 1/2 years (and for me personally, being a Leo, the effects will be of a financial nature), and tomorrow Mercury shifts into Libra (which has to do with communication, thought processes, justice, and balance).

I don't want to ramble on, and like I said, these are my beliefs and I don't have any intention of cramming my own beliefs down the throat of another... I appreciate respect and diversity and respect for diversity and I understand many people believe many different things. However, if you care to read along as I study and learn, you can find bits and pieces in the Daily Dose posts on my blog.

Again, good to see you.
