Office Karmasutra

With longer working hours than ever before, what's a modern singleton to do other than glance over to the next office or cubicle to find true love? However, "never dip your pen into company ink" seems to be the current battle cry when it comes to office romances. And yet, there seem to be an increasing number who are willing to forgo the rules and office romances blooms.
I am not speaking for myself here, for obvious reasons that there aren't any worthy single available men in the office!! But my personal opnion is, wouldn't it be a little too stifling to have your beau within 50 yards away from you in an 8 hour workday. And then, lunchtime spent together and after work dinner dates... The relationship would be intense and densed, spending every minute together. Urgh... What happens to "distance makes the heart grow fonder"??
What happens when you've been dumped by your office fling? Do you suddenly have to quit your job? Find a new place to work? Get moved to a different section so you don't have to turn up red-faced to work? Unless you're up for office gossip and perhaps a call in to the boss's office, you might have to consider your options when things go sour.
So why risk it all in the first place? However, I'm all for the true love and destiny kinda thing. In fact, a study conducted by The Vault.com proves that workplace relationships are hot and heavy, with roughly a quarter of them resulting in either a long-term relationship or marriage! (yea, I did my homework on this one!!)
But I just also think that office flings should be passed up on! Too much hassle, too much time together, too much gossips. I'd rather have a private love life than be airing my dirty laundry in public when things get "heated up" - in both the sex-tifying ways and the negative ways
