You are oft the forgotten one, who never shone as bright
But somehow at this moment you are my gleaming ray of light.
A random act of kindness, small but oh so right
Has brought me joy and comfort, love, instead of spite.
My heart it swells with proudness, my mind is of good cheer.
I go towards tomorrow now without such dread and fear.
And if I've caused you hurt at all, made you shed a tear.
I'll live only to regret it, of that, you have no fear.
My special one, who is so deep, who knows me all so well,
The one who is my confidante to whom my secrets tell.
Oh laud be your glorious, good nature, which seeks naught to rebel.
