Obama vs. McCain - Smear on American Economy?
October 13th 2008 01:17
The presidential race in the US is nearing the point where the McCain camp is turning into a smear campaign by touting that Obama is not a US Citizen or he follows the Koran et al.
It is now that the McCain camp is knock knock knocking on heavens door that the knives are out and any and every tactic is being used to gain recently lost ground. The McCain regime is in its dying phases and the death rattles have begun so all attempts are being made to revive what is surely to be a doomed bid for the presidency.
What concerns me here is that the point is being missed, the point being what is going to be done about the US economy? Who really cares about potential skeletons in the closet when the reality is that the US is plunging deeper into a depression than anyone had ever realised was possible.
The public are hearing a lot about what Obama did in the past, what we MUST be hearing is the below:
What does the soon to be president (Obama or McCain) plan to do with the economy?
How are they going to tackle the liquidity crisis?
What measures will be put in place for future lending policies to be more stringent?
What will they do to create jobs in a slowing market?
What help will be on offer for the thousands of people that have lost everything?
FORGET about the politics and just get on with the job of running the leading financial nation in the world, the place where every other country turns to for financial direction, yes the United States of America!!
Obama, if I could vote in the US you would certainly have mine. McCain, grow up and worry about what's really important here and thats the lives of all Americans and the flow on effect to the global financial markets. STOP the scaremongering and get on with the job of trying to be the best President you can potentially be, it's what the American public deserve!!
Comments and questions invited, McCain supporter or Obama, there are bigger things at stake here than winning an election....

As for McCain saying what he will do to fix the questions you asked, you must have missed it. . . his response on what to do was something to the effect of "We know what the problems are, and we have the answers and know how to fix it." Never saying even one thing that they might do. At the same time he also pointed out that he knows how to catch Osama bin Laden. This was news to many, and begged the question "so why the he** haven't you told someone so we can get him?" Instead it seems he is content with losing lives every day in Afghanistan partially in an attempt to apprehend him. Hmm, wonder if knowing how to catch him, and not saying so can be considered treason since in a sense it is aiding the enemy. That might be an interesting angle to explore. Although if we took him out of the picture it might bump Palin up a notch so she can ask, "What exactly is it that the President does every day?"
