Bennett to quit Broncos

Long term Broncos and NRL coach Wayne Bennett is tipped to quit the Broncos at the end of this Rugby League season.

Recently hitting headlines after a failed switch to the Sydney Roosters, Bennett has been the Broncos head man since their inception in 1988. High successful and well respected, it simply seems he has stayed on a season too long, as the eager board pushes for new blood

Roosters Top 4 Claims in NRL 2008

Its a scary sign for other NRL teams, Sydney Roosters new recruit Willie Mason has stated with the current roster at teh Roosters they can seriously make not only the Top 8, but the Top 4.

New to the side with Shrek O'Meley, Willie reckons with Minichiello back on the field and Tupou at his barnstorming best the Sydney side can really open things up

NRL News chats about Storm

NRL Premiers the Melbourne Storm are basking in more glory today as they sign a big deal with Suzuki motor vehicles for Rugby League sponsorship into 2008. The current benchmark NRL team, the Storm are growing from strength to strength and expect to have their new stadium built at Olympic Park in Melbourne by 2010.

Stacey back to NRL in 2008

Warriors favourite son Stacey Jones returns home in 2008, back at his old club and into the NRL spotlight with a coaching role to help give the NZ boys an edge in NRL Rugby League 2008.

The craft half has recently been playing the UK Super League but returns home to assist Ivan Cleary and co as the Warriors prepare for another assault on the premiership and a chance to go 2 better this year after earning a home semi in 2007

NRL fires up for 2008

Oh how I love the smell of NRL as it approaches for a new year. With Rugby League trial games only a week or so away and players and coaches getting into full swing - the growth of NRL Rugby League continues to look good as the wounds from the Super League War and now all but gone.

It's the 100 year anniversary of Rugby League in Australia and big things are expected from the NRL comp, the club that wins the premiership this year will have an extra special icing on the cake as they take out a massive piece of history this season
