Do you collect Footy Cards or other types of sporting collector card series'?
Ive started piecing together the 2008 NRL Footy Card set. As I get more cards, I will attempt to scan the images on them and place them here, as trading cards and selling the footy cards can be fun and sometimes earn a profit.
In my first pack (Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph Footy Card Sets) I received the following players:
John Morris (Wests Tigers) halfback, Debut Round 17, 2001, previous clubs Knights, Eels, Born 29 July 1980, 183cm tall, 90kg weight.
Penrith Panthers team card (1967 entered premiership) biggest ever win was 72-12 over Manly at Penrith in 2004
Club Legends: Greg Alexander, Craig Gower, Royce Simmons and Mark Geyer
Panthers won premiership of NRL in 2003
Jerome Ropati (NZ Warriors) Centre/ Pivot, Debut Round 25, 2003 - Born 23 November 1984 94kg and 4 tests for New Zealand in Rugby League so far
The Graeme Langlands Team of the century footy card is a special one. A gold surround, the Langlands card features Graeme kicking the ball while playing for St George. A fullback or centre from 1963-1976, Langlands was a star of the game. DOB 2 September 1941, played 227 games and scored 1554 points overall. 34 test for the Australian Kangaroos, what a Rugby League legend!
Paul Gallen (Cronulla Sutherland Sharks) Second Row or Lock, Debut Round 15, 2001, Junior Club Wentworthville, Born 14 August 1981, 180cm tall, 104kg. Played 121 games for 104 points in the NRL so far.
Mat Rogers (Gold Coast Titans) Centre or Five eighth, Debut Round 1, 1995, Junior Club Engadine, played for Cronulla Sharks in NRL 1995-2001. Born 1 Feb 1976, 182cm tall and 88kg in weight.
Played 142 games of Rugby League total. With 7 tests and 5 Queensland Origin rep jerseys.
