Now for the cladding!
August 21st 2009 10:38
I came home late from work, to find that the skeleton now had meat on it's bones. It's actually beginning to look like a house.
After chatting to the neighbour and the builder I managed to take the photos attached to this story at last night, the dying embers of the day. Hence the darkness of the photos.
Personally I think the front of the house looks rather bland, not only because the cladding hasn't been painted yet, but because the windows and doors aren't dressed in any way.
Some thought may need to go into how we actually want the house to look.
For the record, we are planning to paint the cladding a colour called autumnal which is like a browny terracotta look. I was also told to pick a colour for the eaves. It was recommended a lighter colour so I went with champagne hibiscus half strength by my guru colour consultant. She knows who she is.
I'm having fun with the colour charts and have so far picked a different colour for each room, just because of their names.....reality will hit home when it's necessary and I'll pick much more neutral colours later on.
