NLDS: phils vs brew crew and dodger blues and cubbies

The 2008 NLDS started a lot better for the Phillies this year. Although the Brewers were hoit and not as hot as the Rockies. The Phillies took game one of the series 3-1 behind 8 strong from Cole Hamels, who struck out nine and gave up no runs. The brewers came in very hot with Braun and Fielder getting game winning hits this week, but Hamels was untouchable. The change was working and when it is he is impossible to hit. Gallardo started for the Brewers nd left them begging for more C.C. Sabathia, if they were allowed to pitch him everyday I really think that they would. Game two now becomes crucial as the Brewers cant afford to go down two games in a 5 game series.
The Cubs started Dempster, who has been unbeatable in Wrigley this year. His control didnt seem like it was all the way there tonight. He was erratic and left the bases loaded in the third and escaped but couldnt get out of the fifth. He walked the bases loaded and gave up a Grand Slam to centerfield to James Loney. Man-Ram then followed that up with a solo shot of his own on an absurd display of his incredible ability to swing the bat. Sean Marshall threw a good curveball to almost Ramirez's shoe top which he stayed back on and used his hands to effortlessly crush the baseball an estimated 390 feet. Lets see if that trade comes back to haunt the Red Sox and bless the Dodgers this postseason, weirder things have happened. Derek Lowe and the Cubs were too much today, now the Big Z really has to live up to his reputation as the 100 year hangover starts staring Chicago in the face once more.
