Camera styles have not dramatically changed over the last 30 years.
Although there have been some new innovations the style or look of today’s cameras have remained relatively static.
It is nice to see some camera manufactures returning to the “golden years of photography.
Back to the simplicity of style sleek compact and straight shooting while still retaining the modern digital features.
Some cameras these days seem to be on steroids big muscular and bulky.
Nikon V1 and J1 have the “Old” look but are able to shoot images at a resolution of 10.1 mega pixels continuous shooting up to 60 frames per second.
Other features include interchangeable lenses, SB-N5 Speedlight Flash optional GPS unit
You can choose shutter options from mechanical to electronic shutter depending on your preference.
Optional microphone input and hot shoe for external flash and has a magnesium alloy body to die for.
Both models have HD video 10801 and 720/60p.ISO 100-3200.

Hi James, I am of the old school as well. I still have a collection of older Nikon cameras.
In many ways I do miss developing film and printing raw images, that’s progress I guess.
Its great to see just a little sparkle of the old style in the new gear.
