Thank You for the threat. YOU are the only one who expressed negativity in your greeting! People generally will not stay on a site, or comply with the rules, if you greet them with an offensive attitude. Just food for thought!
For my part, I've been seeding non-stop since joining, yet I am waiting 3-4 days for movies to download. On top of that, my download rate is being choked (7.2 GB down) while my upload rate (19.6 GB up) is skyrocketing. When i check on the download progress I get mssgs telling me "Connection closed by peer" and/or "Target machine actively refused connection." The downloads nearly always stop at around 97.1 - 99.1%, meaning I possess a near complete torrent file (useless to me), suitable only to remain seeding at the expense of my bandwidth.
I know it is not a problem with my torrent client as I have been downloading movies from other sites within 30 minutes. No, it appears to be a problem unique to this site. Makes me wonder if my bandwidth isn't just being abused, while I get nothing in return.
Though I recognize it takes seeders to make a torrent available to other members, if there are no seeders than the Moderators, Administrators, and perhaps Guardians should pick up the slack. Otherwise, the site will continue to get a bad rap, membership will continue to slide, and then there is no good purpose for all the Moderators, and Guardians. Instead of leveling threats which make people feel very un-welcomed, it's you guys who should ensure all complying members get what they came here for.
Update: Today, after trying for 3 days and despite an offer by a Moderator to help me by seeding the files I was trying to download, I have had to give up all hopes of ever getting the torrent "Harold And Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" to finish. Presently, after 2-3 days, I have the following torrents stuck at the following percentages:
Speed racer 22.5%
Urban Justice 97.1%
Even if these torrents were to miraculously finish downloading, it is my contention that waiting more than a coupla' hours for any torrent is just a really poor service. So I believe this site might do more to assist its members, in obtaining the files they seek, than merely pass wording files. Perhaps it would go a long way toward improving morale and increasing membership.

Pretty evident by the in fighting and arguing that the whole ball of wax is melting before their eyes. YAY, for the GOOD GUYS! What say you now Bill !
Well.
It would really appear things are going for a complete shitter over at the Perpetual night Torrent site. Seems their process of scavenging others torrents then applying passwords for download permission (requiring membership to the site, has back fired big time). Currently, yours truly has been back on the site for about 30 days now and I am ready to report just how bad it is there.
Downloads are as slow as 0.2 kbs and only as fast as 56 kbs on a 100 Mbps connection. No seeders, no peers, hell the site is virtually useless. Dead in the water is the phrase which comes to mind! To their benefit, the jerk-off moderators and Administrators have decidedly lowered their egos and seemingly are even desperate to appear helpful to site members. Below is a copy/paste of what is currently occurring on the site, as discussed by members.
While reading note the many begging requests for donations, warnings to members and even bad attitudes of some moderators. Quite funny as they shoot thems in the foot!!

I have been a member here 4 about 3-4 months and since then I have noticed that hardly n e 1 seeds the movie torrents.....every time I grab a flick, it takes like 2 weeks to d/l & sometimes not at all!....I can see from the topics that 50 or so ppl have grabbed the flick, yet there are NO seeds....I seed a movie for at least a week.....sometimes up to a month, yet as far as I can tell NO ONE HERE extends the same courtesy....I have had the movie "Cope" in my queue for a month and it's stuck at 88.9%...Same goes for "After Sundown" and "Killing Ariel" So where are all the seeders?!?!? it is not fair to those of us who take seeding seriously that ppl (apparently the majority) hit and run.....How can we expect to keep the scene going that way? So........................SEED DA*NIT!!!!! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif
That is my one and only gripe.....

so sorry to hear that ur having trouble m8 with seeds but like everyone will tell u last couple of months we have being having trouble with leechers and i can tell you that we have step put into place that hopefully will put and end to leechers for good we are working hard on this and will continue to plz bear with us as we sort this mess out and hopefully unseeded torrents will be a thing of the past

to me i think they just do it on pn cos at minute they are getting away with it

Wouldn't be surprised if they are rejects who have been booted from other sites.
Their behaviour is uncaring of others and they laugh at the easy free ride we offer them.
They will bring down this site and move on.
Can't wait for SOP to track them down and get them off our backs.

hello,
I'm dowing 2 movies and there are alot of us stuck at 22.?%
why is that when there are so many seeds?
I'm using peersafe are the trackers allowing bad ips?
I had this same prob. months ago when I tried to get a movie stayed at 22.?% for a couple weeks.
until someone else upped it then it was done in hrs.
is driver running old machines or is thier settings wrong and allowing cops into the tracker?
please can someone answer this. It's very hard to get a movie (for the last 6-9 months)

We do NEED about 30 - 40 S.O.P. members.
Next post about complaints for torrents, I delete them.
I have had it at the moment.

why are there so many dead torrent on the movies section.. driver001(admin) every file that i sed from him stop in the middle.. that the hell is wrong. he post 5 new torrent and nun of them complete. they all stop between 1% to 93% and you have to download for days... driver i like what you do but man it's now looking to good now...

i know whats it like to be stcuk at a certain level then stops but there are a few reasons for this
1/ a uploaded seeds for a few days and hopefully other members take over the seeding so he is free to upload more but right now that aint happening so its not fault of uploader but its the leechers that are destorying torrents uploader will never leave torrent without seeds that i know for sure
2/ sometime the uploader is restricked by there isp provider in that i mean they are certain time of the day they cant upload so it might look as if there are not seeding but when there are free the will put torrent bk on to seed
3/ driver does upload alot of movies here but i can say cos i got a few off him he NEVER LEAVES A TORRENT UNSEEDED

i get most of my torrents from here and if there is never a seed all we have to do is talk to the uploader and they will seed it for you to finish and seed it

hi with regards to the torrents i upload ...
(1)i always seed till there is 3 seeds on the torrent and than stop
(2)if they stop seeding i will reseed if asked if poss
(3) i work very hard to give the best torrents i can get to upload and am now begining to get tired of all the leeching thats going on it just kills the torrents and due to the amount i upload i cant store everything forever i wish i could
if u have probs getting your film and its a new film ive uploaded like within the last month pm me and ill reseed

I am experiencing the same problems as the others. The current situation on this site is NOT working. As for S.O.P, I support it and WILL help. I am certain that the title of this post holds no revelation for those of you savvy in the world of peer2peer and bit torrent traffic. Yet the title will serve to draw attention to the owners/copyright holders of software that has been pirated where they might begin their law suits.
Along with the myriad of copyrighted movie, music, anime, etc torrent files hosted and illegally uploaded on the site Perpetual night, there are also may exist pirated software titles. Certainly not all the software titles listed are pirated. Some in fact are only the trial copies of software any intrepid Internet surfer could find themselves. The helpful staff at Perpetual night have been gracious enough to post these trial copies, for your evaluation, on their site.
There are however software titles found on the Perpetual night site that appear to be pirated copies of full retail version software. The specific software titles I elude to are those which say patch, keymaker, or serial included in the torrent description. Software including patchs, keymakers, and serials, extinguish the necessity to purchase a license for the use of the software. Thereby allowing the person access to full unlimited use and functionality of the software without ever paying the copyright holder a dime.
The following is a list of the software titles found on Perpetual night as of 16th of April, 2008 claiming patch, keymaker, or serial included. Consequently these may constitute pirated full retail versions:

Torrent Site Perpetualnight Exposed
I have received another comment to a post I made entitled "Perpetual night server owner contacts me". In this comment the writer (anonymously) claims that pn was kicked off the server 2 years ago. That would seemingly indicate that not only the original communication from Bill was false, but all the follow-up comments, attributed to him, as well.
I suspect that it's just more "dull skuggery" from the Perpetual night team.
