Labor Day Weekend

August 26th 2008 17:14
Labor day weekend is finally here. We are going to my uncles to celebrate his 65th birthday. It's kind of become a tradition. I hope it stays a tradition for long long time. My weekend is gonna start out really great because I am going bowling Friday night. I haven't been bowling in like forever. I hope you learned a little something about me from my previous post. Don't hesitate to ask me questions. I am more than willing to talk about it, especially if it will help someone else. Well, I better go. Come back soon!!

Living with GAD

August 18th 2008 01:23
Looking at me you wouldn't think anything was wrong with me. I'm a little short and kinda skinny. Other than that I am pretty normal. I've had GAD or Generalized Anxiety Disorder since I was about 9 or 10. I wasn't diagnosed till 2008. GAD affects people in different ways. A few of the symptoms are nausea, nervousness, insommnia and panic attacks. GAD is defined as excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry about everyday things.

The thing that got me diagnosed was panic attacks. People who have never had a panic attack have no idea how bad they are. When I first started having them I would get that feeling you get when you think something bad is going to happen, sort of a sinking feeling. It would last for a few minutes and then go away. Slowly they started getting worse. I would get that same feeling, but I would get nauseated too. In the last 6 months or so they got even worse. I would get that scared sinking feeling, then I would get all shakey, then I would have hot and cold flashes. All that would be happening and I would feel nauseated too. Eventually I would throw up and feel better. That's a pretty good description of the worst one I've ever had.

Rock Band

August 11th 2008 00:58
I finally had a chance to play Rock Band the other day. I was playing the drums and it was so much fun. It would be awesome to own that game. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. I had never played Rock Band before. I wasn't too bad. I would probably be pretty decent if I played more. I'd really like to try the guitar part. It really looks like so much fun. The Rock Band game makes your feel like you are really part of the game. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone. It is so much fun.

Hello there,
My name is Nicki. I enjoy blogging and would love to hear your opinions about my writing. There are lots of things I enjoy but nothing more than my computer, except maybe my cat Murry. He is orange and cuddley. He is approximately 5 years old and very ornery. Ok, That's a little bit about me. Come back and visit my world soon.

Playstation/Playstation 2

July 18th 2008 18:04
Technology has evolved some since the days of Nintendo and Super Nintendo. It morphed into the Playstation and the Playstation 2. I have a Playstation, but it has some serious issues. It locks up, and sometimes it won’t load. I had one game for it, but my brother had a whole bunch. My only game was Wheel of Fortune. I love that game. The Playstation was really cool when it worked. I haven’t tried to play it in a while so I don’t know if it still works. I am a proud owner of a Playstation 2 now. I have lots of games. My favorite ones are my Scooby Doo games and my Harry Potter games. It’s truly amazing how much the graphics have changed when you compare them to the Nintendo. They are almost life like. I don’t get to play as often as I like, but I love to play. I got the Playstation 2 for my birthday a couple of years ago. Some people think video games are bad. I say it depends on the game. Video games are great stress relievers. Don’t forget to come back soon. You never know when there will be something new.

Nintendo and Super Nintendo

July 17th 2008 04:34
One of the most popular game consoles was the Nintendo. We thought we were so cool when we got ours. It was hooked up to a 13" TV/VCR combo. Our very first game was the Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt all in one game. I used to play that game all the time. Super Mario Brothers was definitely my favorite. I still have my Nintendo. Every now and again I hook it up and play some Mario Brothers. I would have to say my favorite out of all the Mario Brothers games was Super Mario Brothers 3. What could be cooler than flying with a raccoon tail? Another great game was the Legend of Zelda. It was one of those games that could keep you entertained for hours. Who wouldn't want a sword that shot like a laser? Eventually the guys down at Nintendo came out with another console. They called it the Super Nintendo, and with a new console comes a new Mario Brothers game Super Mario World. That is my most favorite Super Nintendo game. I still play Super Nintendo occasionally. There are only 2 games that are actually mine Super Mario World and Toy Story. Those were definitely some good times.

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at Nicki_1997@hotmail.com. Thanks and have a great day.

Video games

July 16th 2008 01:55
This is going to age me a bit but I grew up playing video games. My first console was a Colleco with an Atari attachment. At the time it was the most awesome system ever. We had tons of games. My favorite games for the colleco were The Smurfs, Mousetrap, Carnival, Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Jr. Those were definitely some quality entertainment back in the day. The cool part about this system was the Atari attachment. It plugged right into the front of the colleco. We had lots of games too. Strawberry Shortcake, Pitfall, Pitfall 2, Frogger, Firefighter and of course Pong were some of my favorites. We even had the paddles so you could play Pong the right way. I really had some good times playing Atari. I could play for hours on end. The game graphics weren’t the greatest, but when you are 9 you really don’t care how good they are. It was all about how fun the game was. All this talk about video games makes me want to go play some. I still have the Colleco/Atari console. I wonder if it still works. That is all for now. Come back next time when I take a look back at the Nintendo.

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at Nicki_1997@hotmail.com. Thanks and have a great day.
