Niagara is a town
October 8th 2008 02:30
Yes it's a town with the small flourishing "fun street", that has Shareton, travelodge and other hotels, restaurants, cinema with towering lion head, big video game court, the two storey Guinness world record museum, castle dracula and haunted house, giant hotdog and giant ice cream signs--a theme street? The skywheel that cast long slow moving shadows across the little square, street lamps that looked like helmets with glass bottom--and constantly bulky, sleek long distance coaches that reminded you that this is not just any town; Down there, right by the street across, the huge falls that precipitate to create a huge body of mist/cloud that twirls and drifts right up to the sky. And across the river, some American flags flowing small and distant--that's another country. Even though there're the rows of quiet, resigned houses at the back with their own lawns, like any other small tiny town...
