New Releases Poor
Singham Excellent First Week
Bubble Gum, Gandhi To Hitler and Khap all opened very poorly and have little chance at the box office.
Singham had an excellent first week of 50.50 crore nett and has done phenomenal business in some circuits. The 8th day was rock steady at most places. The film has two open weeks to do solid business and should emerge a Super Hit.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was steady in its second week collecting around 19 crore nett. The two week total is 63.25 crore nett and the film is rock steady in its third week at multiplexes. HIT
ZNMD Looking At 77 Crore Nett In Three Weeks
Zindagi Na Milega Dobara is looking at 77 crore nett plus business in three weeks. The second to third week drop will be just 33% and if this repeated it its fourth week, the business in four weeks will stand at over 85 crore nett. It is looking possible as this week like last week will not see much new competition at the box office for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The business so far is as follows.
Week One - 44.40 crore
Week Two - 19.50 crore
Week Three (expected) - 13 crore nett plus
Three Weeks Total 77 crore nett approx
Huge July With Surprise MURDER 2 ToppingJuly had a huge line up and it more than lived up to expectations as most of the films worked including the Hollywood releases.
The surprise however was Murder 2. At the beginning of July, Murder 2 was probably thought of as one of the weaker major releases alongside Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, some may have even had Murder 2 even below that film but it surprised all by becoming the biggest hit of an exceptional July 2011 at the box office.

Jihne Mera Dil Luteya Is Runaway Blockbuster
Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (Punjabi) is a runaway blockbuster smashing all records for Punjabi films. The first week is likely to finish at around 2.70 crore in Punjab and till date no film has crossed the 2 crore mark in week one.
Jihne Mera Dil Luteya should cross the record 4.50 crore business of Mel Karade Rabba. The daily collections from Punjab for Jihne Mera Dil Luteya are as follows.
Friday - 45 lakhs
Saturday - 46 lakhs
Sunday - 55 lakhs
Monday - 35 lakhs
Tuesday - 33 lakhs
Wednesday - 29 lakhs

Singham Rock Steady: Mumbai Top Five Ever
Singham is ramazingly steady in its second as the Monday business came out at around 2.75 crore nett and Tuesday looks just a 10% drop from Monday. The weekdays will collect around 9 crore nett.
It is the Mumbai circuit where the business is phenomenal and it should cross the 20 crore distributor share mark which till date only five films have done. Mumbai circuit top five as per distributor share.

2. Golmaal 3 - 27.76 crore
3. Dabangg - 25.05 crore
4. Ready - 23.98 crore
5. Ghajini - 20.59 crore
Singham is looking at a 20-21 cr distributor share in Mumbai circuit as it heads towards a lifetime 85 crore nett all India total
