The new Orble homepage is up and running. There are still a few small changes left (such as sub-categories) but the general format should remain the same.

The Popular Posts section has been removed. I felt that the homepage was too confusing with two columns of posts -- one of them had to go and it is possible to view the more popular posts using the vote threshold anyway. It also allowed us to display other things on the homepage like lists of new and popular blogs.

Let me know what you think (good or bad)!

I like this one better...less cluttered and looks more professional as well. Also was wondering when do you think the shopping basket feature will be up and running Jon, had some interest from advertisers.

I think the popular posts are better to showcase... when random visitors come along, they'll be able to jump right into posts that have active comments.

The one column is definitely better, though.

I enjoyed analysing the relationship between the new posts and the popular posts, but in terms of layout the new format looks more sophisticated.
