Route 31 to open doors to bands
South East Melbourne’s only dedicated live music venue.
Route 31 will be having its opening night on Friday April 3rd. Dandenongs first dedicated live music venue in well over a decade.
Fridays will open at approx 8pm with bands to start at 9pm. Bands will be from selected genres of rock, funk, cover bands and tribute bands. Only the best of Melbourne’s acts are to perform. Energetic, vibrant and party atmosphere is the theme.
Thursday opening night will be May 7th. Doors to open at 8pm and bands from 9pm.
Entry will be $10 on any given night. Route 31 has an audience capacity of 300 and will have live music every week. Licensed until 3am, now there is something to do on Thursday and Friday Nights without having to travel to the City to see City quality bands.
Route 31 will also have a DJ on Saturday nights until late. MMAPP Band Management and Promotion and Route 31 Venue Management believe that it is time for patrons in the South East Melbourne suburbs to have a quality Venue to go to, and a venue where they can come and see the really good bands, without being forced to travel for miles, while providing this entertainment at a reasonable rate, at the same time, provide another avenue and area for bands to perform and gain new fans. A major draw card being that there is not one pokie machine in sight.
Route 31 is located at 31A Langhorne Street, Dandenong. There is easy wheelchair access to the venue and is licensed till 3am. Entrance proceeds go to the bands.
