New Icon and Tagline

After a couple months of scratching my head I've finally decided on a new Logo and Tagline. I was after a tagline which would reflect what Orble was about, and also encourage people to contribute.

I hope I've come close to that and that's it not too much of a grammatical car crash

Jon I really like the changes Orble is undergoing. What I don't like however is that, after being gone for a week due to moving to a new home, I'm out of the top blogs. Oh well, gotta work on that now

Unhelpful comment here -- I think it's more pro than the old one (can't even remember the old one that well, have to admit). But I'm unsure about the news theme (given that blogs about recipes, blogs, writers' issues, MS paintshop, philosophy, etc aren't so much about reporting).

Don't know what I'd suggest instead...

I really like pretty much all the recent changes, including the new background when I'm creating posts. Whoever's dreaming up all this stuff is doing a great job of it.

I've talked to Jon in person, and the news thing fits in with his vision for community. Granted, the way it is now doesn't really fit, especially since too many posts are introverted and about making money from blogging, but the news aspect gives a little professionalism to it.

Adrian -- I'm all for suggestions if you can think of something better

It's quite hard coming up with a good TAG that's not too derivative or cheesy. I take your point about the non-reporting nature of some of the blogs.

Thanks for saying you like the changes. I've had quite a productive week for a change. I think the key is to highlight all the emails in your inbox and press delete

I like it as well, although I do agree with Adrian that may be a little 'newsy' for much of the community. I suppose you could go for something more along the lines of 'discuss your world', but I don't know if that has the same ring to it!

do we get a report card.. i dunno 'report' just sounds so... reporty

i wrote poetry, which is sort of like reporting worlds of sorts l-ing-ol -- but i no complain...

count me in on the 'movement'

I think people had a good point with regards to "Report' being too newsy so I've made a small change and altered "Report" to "Blog".

How about 'Orble - Finger Lickin' Good'

or 'Orble - Just Do It'?
