New Found Species May Be Lost

A newly discovered monkey species may soon become extinct due to the deforestation of its habitat. It is found in the Amazon of Columbia, and although it survived the wrath of rebels, it may be losing its habitat.
I tend to believe that smaller ecosystems can be created to insure the survival of this elusive primate. Animals that survived this long in secrecy must have greater adaptability skills than we give them credit for. Regardless of what we hear, the entire rainforests aren't being eliminated for man. Studies should focus on territorial range, food source, shelter habits, hierarchy, etc., and conserve the areas involved.
While I do agree that a large amount of Central and South American rainforests should be preserved, I also know that you can't stop progress but one can co-exist with it.
