The Rumor Mill had it that I was banned and purged from Orble, but eh, it didn't happen. And I am back at the helm of Alaska Chronicle, Is Why and A Global Citizen. My ad hominem posts were integrated into A Global Citizen.
Management and I resolved our issues, and you have/will likely notice(d) some changes as a result. Give Jon and Orble management a break, he's keeping his word and taking steps to preserve the integrity of the site, and to protect the writers. Morgan and Ruby,et al ~ I've been rough on both of you personally and will henceforth beat you both mercilessly with my profound wisdom, wit and communication skills while contending issues (only) with you or your, et al. Feel free to visit, comment and fuss over issues with me; family and/or personal attacks are off limits to me and in my comments. This once invigorating writing oasis has devolved into something many former writers found to be an unacceptably hostile environment and they went elsewhere. As for me, I hate that I contributed to that deterioration in any way.  As for the future, I have worlds to explore in my writings, and no time to waste fighting . . . what about you?

Warning ~ Stalker Alert ~ Warning ~ Stalker Alert This problem has been partially resolved by Management; thanks for taking such fast action.  As I pointed out in an earlier post that was removed from the home pages there's a problem ~ a real problem. Another writer was recently singled out for stalking and threats as well; prompting me to write this article originally.  This repulsive individual is cowardly and should be banned permanently from Orble. Further, criminal charges should be leveled and a civil lawsuit enjoined to curb this persons penchant for skulduggery. Stalking and threatening other writers to satisfy a personal indulgence is unacceptable. A recent flame war resulted in part from the antics of an insipid and narrow minded individual, who turned the icons of other writers into icons of sex objects to ridicule and embarrass those authors of competing points of view, this after it became strikingly clear that their arguments where superior; and there was also the insidious cyber stalking by that same slimy individual. Is the same individual at fault? Don't know ~ don't care. This is wrong and needs to stop.

Why blog? It's largely a functional waste of what should be productive time that could be better spent interacting with family, friends or sic, playing with our children. While it is amusing to skulk about the various offerings of our fellow bloggers, looking for reasons to be offended; suggestive photos, bad language, religious or political grounds will all suffice to irritate us. But, here's an exchange that keeps me posting and it's one of many that I get with nearly every post I've written. This exchange is in response to this POST which was removed from the most popular list because someone took offense to it for one reason or another. Meh. My thoughts are in italics, the commenter's' are not.

 Well, as a guy . . . I don't do the shopping thing. When circumstances force me through the doors of anything other than a store selling beer, gold pans, guns or fishing supplies it's a given that I ain't happy. I tend to get in and out like a devil was chasing my ample ass. That wife of mine isn't just a shopper, she's a doggone browser; she clips coupons, store ads and explores every isle under the roof before she makes her selections. It's enough to drive me to distraction and stone cold boredom, even at the Freddies store with their hot food deli and way cool sporting goods department
