Alexander McQueen fall 2007

I love Alexander McQueen and his designs. If I was to become a fashion designer I would want to be as good as he is.
He continues to amaze me with his Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear range which was in memory of Elizabeth How- A witch who died in 1692 in Salem. The models resemble Elizabeth Taylor starring as Cleopatra.
Tim Blanks "Alexander McQueen is the master of fashion spectacle. An invitation to his show is usually a taster of what is to come in fashion."
His range is defiantly different from his last fall range from '06 which awed his audience with the hologram of Kate Moss as the main theme of his runway show.
The range is based on his family history after his mother traced their family trees and discovered that her bloodline lead back to a victim of the Salem witch trials who was hanged in the Puritan hysteria of 1692. McQueens imagination plays a huge part in his designs and can be seen through the dominate themes of witchcraft, paganism, and religious persecution within this range. His interpretation of his family history has resulted in McQueen producing an amazing range for his Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear range.
This range consist of sharp and bold cut designs made out of the finest materials with a dark colour pallet.
This design is rather weird but I think because McQueen has designed it I find myself to actually like the piece.
.
All the models to an extent really do resemble Elizabeth Taylor.
I love the shoulders here. I think it is still very feminine and still continues with the witch theme. The models look kind of scary and I love the bold blue eye shadow with the blunt hair. The hair is amazingly weird at the back it is sort of a bee hive with loose strands- messy but yet is still a very clean up style.
You can not have a show about witches without having witch like shoes. I love the shoes especially the gold pair.
