Greetings, once again fellow NBA fans! Ths is NBA Watch a blog that takes a look at whom I consider the top contenders for the NBA title, those teams being the Lakers, Cavaliers, Magic, and Celtics. Only two of those teams played Wednesday night, here's what happened. The Orlando Magic took on the New York Knicks and came away with a 118-104 victory. Rashard Lewis led the Magic with 20 pts, and also led the team in rebounds with 11. Vince Carter and Jason Williams led the team with 5 assists a piece. In Cleveland, the Cavaliers defeated the Phoenix Suns107-90 on a night which saw Zydrunas Ilgauskas become the Cavs all-time leader in games played with 724,breaking the mark held by current Cavs GM Danny Ferry. As for the game, Ilgauskas led the team with 14 pts, LeBron James led with 10 assists, and Shaquille O'Neal paced the team with 9 rebounds.
Welcome to the first official post of NBA Watch! In this Blog I will take a look at who I consider to be the top 4 contenders for the NBA title, thsoe being the Lakers, Celtics, Cavs and, Magic. I will post three times a week with a look at the games played and also a capsule look at the week back and the upcoming games for each team. So gettin right to it, the Boston Celtics and L.A. Lakers were the only two teams in action Tuesday night and bothe were winners. The Celtics depeated Charlotte 108-90 down in Charlotte. The Celtics were led by Ray Allen's 27 points which included 5 three pointers, Rajon Rondo led the team with 9 assists, and Kendrick Perkins led with 12 rebounds. Out on the West Coast the Lakers defeated the New Orleans Hornets 110-99. The Lakers were led in scoring by Andrew Bynum with 21, Derek Fisher led the team with 7 assists, and Andrew Bynum pulled down a team high 9 rebounds.
