Say goodbye to premenstrual symptoms

It has recently come to light that a lot of women of childbearing age are experiencing extreme mood swings and are even demonstrating violent behaviour. Until recently; medical Professionals have discovered that it is attributed to an inbalance in the hormones, oestrogen and progesterone.

Many different causes effect the way in which womens hormones become irregular and they can be attributed to the contraceptive pill, child birth, menopause and other factors.

The most common symptoms are:
Mild Anxiety, Nervous Tension, Stress, Mood Changes, Pre-Menstrual Syndrome
Menstrual Symptoms, iIrritability and Emotional Instability.

The good news is there is treatment and even better it is available in a natural form that utelises the healing benefits of the extract black cahosh which has been proven sciertifically to regulate the delicate balance of these two hormones. Another good product is the amino acid Tyrosine, which is responsible for the release of endorphins in the brain.
Vitamins B6, B9 and B12 are also important factors towards ensuring good health in women as they help the body to synthesize hormones in the liver, and the mineral Chromium, which helps to stabilize blood sugar levels therefore helping control cravings and mood swings.

There is a product on the market at the moment called 30Plus and that includes a combination of all these ingredients. It takes about two menstrual cycles before its benefits are noticible but women who have taken the product have reported a significant difference in their mood, cramps, anxiety, hot flushes and the regularity of their menstral cycle.

The good news is that it can be taken in conjunction with the contraceptive pill and it is not restricted to those over 30.

Give it a try your family and friends will thank you for it!!

Until next time

Naomi

Hello Everybody

February 6th 2007 05:07

Hello Everybody,

Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged. I have been very busy with the demands of my new book "The Calorie Counters".

How has everybody been.

For all you athritis sufferers out there; I suggest you try Apple cider Vinegar. Its benefits were first discovered by Dr. D.C. Jarvis in the USA, who wrote a book on his findings called Folk medicine.

Apple cider vinegar is also an effective remedy for releiving the symptoms of headaches, fatigue, sore throats, high blood pressure and gastric upsets. It is beleived that the mineral salt potassium; that is present in apple cider vinegar is the main ingredient responsible for its medicinal benefits.

Recommended dose is 1 x teaspoon in a glass of water taken after each meal to achieve maximun benefits. The results are increased greatly by adding some unprocessed honey as a sweetner.

Keep well and active,

Until next time,

Naomi

Macular Degeneration

November 20th 2006 22:25
Eyesight is a precious commodity

Naturally Treating…Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is when the macular; the light sensitive area in the centre of the retina that is the main vision field and responsible for being able to view colors, breaks down and reduces the amount in which the eyes can see.

The key cause of macular degeneration is from free radicals which are unstable oxygen molecules that are damaging to the cells in the body. The main contributors are caused by smoking, high saturated fat diet, too much exposure to sunlight, high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes which limit the amount of blood that flows to the eyes.

There is a range of natural treatments available to help neutralize free radicals and prevent them from causing further damage.

1. Eat a balanced diet. Fresh vegetables and low quantities of saturated fat. Many fruits and vegetables contain a range of antioxidants that are proactive in destroying free radicals. Vitamin A has for years been attributed for its ability to improve and retain eye health
2. Drink lots of fresh water. By drinking water you flush out the impurities that are inside your system. This enables your liver to function properly and the quality of your blood that filters to the various parts of your body is of the right viscosity.
3. Wear sunglasses when out in the sun as ultraviolet rays are very harmful and can quickly destroy the macular
4. Zinc plays a key role in sustaining healthy function of the retina. Many people are believed to be deficient in this mineral especially elderly people.
5. Bilberry is a herb that contains antioxidant compounds and improves blood flow to the retina.
6. Selenium has been known to boost the bodies antioxidant overall which makes it a good weapon to fight elusive free radicals.
7. Fish oil has shown a remarkable improvement in vision and eye health in people who took it over a long period of time. This is due to essential fatty acids which improve circulation and its high vitamin A and D content.

Damage is very hard to reverse once it has set in. But you can take steps now to prevent the onset of macular degeneration by following some simple guidelines based on the suggestions above.

Look after yourself. The body is very precious and every thoughtless decision you make that concerns your body can be potentially harmful. Eyesight is a precious and underrated commodity. It is much easier to prevent it from worsening then to get it back once it is lost!

Using pyramids to heal

November 13th 2006 00:29
Pyramids are said to have healing powers

For as long as we have been aware of them; people have been baffled by the great Pyramids at Giza, including scientists. The amazing aspect of the great pyramids is their incredible preciseness and accuracy in a time where resources were limited and conditions where harsh and unforgiving. They are by far the biggest construction ever made by man and the mind boggles as to the how they were actually created. The mathematical precision is such that the dimensions and proportions are positioned in the exact centre of the earths land mass and they are exactly one trillionth of the weight of the Earth. It is obvious that these enigmatic edifices are not accidental but clearly planned and calculated to the millimeter.

Tell me more about...Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis originated from Greece
Hypnosis is an art that induces the patient into a trance like state of compliance and heightened susceptibility.

Contrary to popular beleif; almost anyone can be hypnotized, in fact the higher the intelligence level the better the result. Even sceptics can be hypnotized although it is much harder to achieve.

Judo is also a great Japanese style that focuses more on throwing and gappling ,whereas karate is more attack and defence. Both provide benefits that require use of the mind, body and spirit. Another great style similar to Judo is Jujitsu.

Just practise whenever you are at home alone. That way when you do go out, you will not even be aware that you are doing it.

That is a common complaint from people who have habitually bad posture(which is most of us) The best way to fix it is to persevere with correcting your posture. It will feel strange at first, but as your muscles re-learn the correct way, they will become used to it and eventually, you will be feeling much better.

That's right and if you find that your honey has candied (as it tends to do in the winter when it is cold), give it a quick zap in the microwave and it will be as good as new
