Name this Pup
I recently posted on this same blog about the possibility of us buying a new dog, specifically a beagle.
We wanted to make sure that we buy this dog only and only if it's good with kids because we have a 3 year old boy. We met up with the owner/breeder of the pups last Easter and brought our son along.
Of course, just as everyone has told us, beagles are GREAT with kids!
They ran around and played like they've known each other for a long time... Much like how kids are with each other, they don't care if they just met you, as long as you're a kid they can play with, they go ahead and play.
We couldn't go home right away after we checked the dogs because our son wanted to go home with them!
The owner/breeder wanted to make sure their initial shots and check-ups were done before they gave us the puppy and had them bathed as well. We were asked to come back Tuesday, which is good for us so we can prepare the stuff we need.
So yesterday, before 6pm we went back to pick up the pup. The little boy ran around with the other puppies again while the breeder briefed us on things about the beagle (food, vaccines, bathing, etc) he played and ran around the huge lawn of the owner. He enjoyed it too much that he want to the owner and asked her "Can I take ALL the puppies??"
So after some coaxing and explanation that we can only bring home 1 puppy, he agreed and was so excited on the way home.
We have a problem though. Everytime we ask him for a name for his puppy here's how the conversation goes...
Me: What's the name of your dog?
Son: Puppy!
Me: umm... ok, what's the name of your Puppy?
Son: (without hesitation) Dog!
Me and Husband: Ok.. what's the name of your PuppyDog? (thinking it forces him to think of something else..)
Son: (hesitates a bit) PuppyDoggie!
*sigh*
I certainly wouldn't name him that because aside from it being too long, it's just not a name. hahaha..
So what would you name this cute little curious beagle?
