"Party decorations are up & ready"

August 17th 2007 17:17
Parties

Stayed up until about four am getting things ready for the party. Took apart pom poms and made hula skirts. The ones you buy just arent that pretty, so we always make our own. I stay up late anyway and just sleep in a little bit. I'm a night owl and so are my kids.
parties

My friends leave at about five for the four hour drive here. That gives me time still today to work on anything i have left to do. Like getting game stuff ready.
I got up wayyy too early today!!! Too late to lay back down now, so i'm just gonna need to "Wake up!" <smiles>
I got an important call early from my friend taht i'm REALY excited about. She got me a job at where she works. It's proof reading for a buck a page. It's realy just re-wording what their filed agents have written. You have cheat sheets for doing this. I told him i'd love to do forty or even a little more a week. He said that would be "No problem". I may even become a field agent later. Not ready right now. I can make ALOT when i do that. Proof reading will give me a little exter cash in my pocket for fun stuff, without a huge commitment. Gonna get me a laptop now, for when i travel, so i can keep up with my jobs. I'll be trained again tonight by Denise. Then the company will call me again Monday and set me up. I like this because it's VERY flexable. I can do it any time of day or night and from anywhere. My hubby or kids can even do them if they wnat to make exter cash.

ok, i'm off to work on hula skirts. Tammy

"How does your garden grow!"

August 16th 2007 18:40
We always put in a garden. Have been for about ten years now. In the begining we just did tomatoes. Each year we'd add a little more, as we developed new skill. This year i realy like our garden. We put in a feary garden and have grown HUGE sunflowers, pumkins, tomatoes, flowers of all kinds, gourds, sqaush, green beans, watermellon, cantalope and a bunch of other things. Our garden is wild and not weeded much, but i like it wild and think it should kind of be that way since it's a fearie garden. And besides, i hate the HUGE spiders you find when you weed it. <big smile> I also would rather swim, fish or play with my family. <another grin>
Here are some of my favorite pictures of this years gardedn.
Gardening
2 of our pumkins. They are a little early, but Krystina LOVES pumkin seeds. She baked up a batch last night. Petunia ate up the mushy left over stuff. <smiles>
gardening
My HUGE sunflowers. I have these all around the gardein running along the fence. They are one of my favorite flowers.
Gardening
One of our many apple trees that the horses LOVE. Blaze is REALY happy. He just got a new pasture all for him, put in with three apple trees inside of it. <smiles>
Gardening
Some wild looking flowers me and my girls grew from seeds.
It's a little wild looking but i LOVE it!!

"A journal for mamma & me!"

August 7th 2007 19:46
The night i got the news of my moms passing. "August 1st 2007." I sat straight down, tears and all and started a journal for her and I. She LOVED owls [my grandma loved owls too], she also LOVES dreamcatchers. which is something i also LOVE and make homemade ones.
He'res some pages i made for my mom as a rememberance.
Journaling
My drawn hand, my moms hand print i pressed with lipstick before she passed, an owl Kaitlyn drew for my mom and grandma, and a feather we found by the lake at the timeshare we where staying at when my mom passed. I LOVE feathers and even dreamed of blue ones EVERYWHERElast night in my dreams.
journaling
My moms hand print i pressed with lipstick, onto notebook paper just before she died. I cut it out and put it in the journal for her and myself.
Journaling
A dreamcatcher Kaitlyn drew for my mom. Some feathers from the lake we stayed on for seven days, and was staying at when i got the call of my moms passing. We fed geese here daily.
journaling
The front cover of our journal, that i decopauged on.
Timeshares
The timeshare we where at for seven days, when i got the news of my moms passing.

"Our creative day!"

July 11th 2007 01:27
We woke up a little late today. Noon, but it felt good sleeping in under the airconditioning with fans blowing on high. I do LOVE sleeping in late and i think thats why i don't need to nap. For me, i'd just rather sleep a little late, for others, they'd rather get up early and take a nap. Whatever works for each. <soft smile>
I woke up STARVING!! So i decided for the $6 bucks each, it would be worth going out for chiniese at our favorite town buffet. I am sooo addicted and probably go once or twice a week. It's a great way to start your day. The rest of the day i have had Slim Fast shakes. I never stuff myself at these things anyhow. I even had a plate of fruit and raw veggies. I LOVE their dumplings with that 'i don't know" redish brown sauce. Sooo good and better for me then a greasy burger.
After comming home, i gathered up all my supplies and headed with Kaitlyn into the air conditioned bedroom and we got creative. I re-decorated, blinged out or whatever you want to call it, crosses4acause bags to put all out faerie folders, pencil sharpeners, tape ect in. heres the bags i made for my girls.
Faerie Bags
And i know, most people would think it isn't very profetional to use bags like these for business, but we're not like everyone else. Life is beautful, and why can't stuff we use wether for business or not, be too! <shrugs> and <smiles>
Faerie Bags
"A close up of the bag." I'm making a throw cover taht matches these. I made one of these for each of my girls and me a bag with Tinkerbell on it.
New Logo cross
This is a new logo cross Kaitlyn came up with for crosses4acause. It still has work but it covers many of the crosses we're offering and i LOVE it

My Creative Time!!!

June 2nd 2007 21:55
"I've been working on crosses for months now. i'm almost done with every single cross i've come up with a design for so far. i'm putting the soldier ones on my home page of mt website and switching up the newsletter. not sure which parts i'll get to today, but just finishing them and getting pics taken, is a HUGE step. now i need to take some close ups on maybe a white background, put them on a disk and go talk to my neighbor. i have five shirts i want made up right away. for my crew. Maybe six [1] for my team leader taking care of my up comming midwest region. This is still all soo new but it's getting there.
i just thought i'd share what we have been working sooo hard on. alot of us brainstorm for crosses we need. i mostly come up with the catch phrases and bounce them off my crew, i come up with what i'd like on them, Kaitlyn draws out the pics, i draw out the phrase, which i know on these isn't perfectly straight but i JUST ironed taht out, so they'll be straighter now. Then i paint them, hubby puts them together and glosses/seals or whatever, them. These arent sealed but he worked a double today. These are just samples for taking pics, showing, ect.

My most creative self!!!

May 24th 2007 20:44
country charm

This is the room we spend most of our time in. It's where i'm my most creative self. it's the whole reason i fell in love with this home. tall wood covered ceiling with twelve windows. sooo much light, looking out onto our hill which is where we put horses. grass cascading to tree lined woods.
country charm
many fire lit nights spent here. game night, smores made, late nights watching DVD's, snow falls watched, crosses made, ideas brought to life, puppies grow up and meet new moms and dads, dreams talked about, insence lit. romantic dinners for two, sunday dinners spent at the table with moose and bear plates. i've decorated it with a country flare, but cabiny charm. still need more of that cabiny charm, but we're getting there.
i LOVE being here. i feel alive here! i dream, dance and kiss here. maybe we wont be here forever <shrugs>. who knows, but for this time in my life, this is where i'm suppose to be

Spring clean!!

May 24th 2007 09:10
Took down the 10 sets of curtains in the great room/porch and threw them in on gentle cycle, emptied drawers in the kitchen and vaced them out, then wiped them clean. i still have cabinets and drawers to go. moved the great room back around like it was before i let my daughtrs boyfriend move it. i thought it was soo nice of him to do so. i heated it and almsot cried when i walked in, but i try hard to not hurt people. i've raised my children that way too and i think it's a good qaulity. someone does something nice for you, you should be kind. it's notlying i don't think. it's being polite and just not hurting others. you just don't ask them to do it again. i think the reason i hated the room, is sooo many things where off centered. i'm kind of a neat freak and like everything pretty much straight. maybe an occasional corner chair. worse, he put my china cabinet "Blocking" a window. i LOVE light and although there are 11 other windows in thatt room, i still missed that one window.
it's all back to normal though and taht felt nice to walk into. i can't wiat to do more spring cleaning tomarow. but for now, i'm off to bed.

The Banana wrinkle fighter is what Kaitlyn and i did first. It was stinky i thought. Banana smelling ofcourse, BUT smashed bananas are kind of gross. we smashed and smashed but there where still chunks here and there, so putting it on was kind of gross. once we got it on and had a great laugh at each other.it wasn't horribly bad. it did start to burn some, so you could tell it was working almsot like an exfliater. jsut a little burn, but then again, i do have very sensative skin. by the ten to fifteen minutes, the stuff did get hard. when it came time to rinse it off, it wouldn't rinse super easy, so we used a rag. when we where done rinsing with warm water, we follwed with cold to close our pores. dried our faces and then used face moisturizers. now as soon as thsi was all done, we noticed a huge difference especialy on my face. my face looks brighter and feels extremly soft. i've been using wrinkle stuff for a long time and they havent changed the small wrinkle under my eyes, but i swear by one Banana treatment i could see a tiny difference. i'll be doing this Banana treatment until our bushel is gone. now Kaity is turning 18, so she realy didn't need this treatment. i didn't tell her what it was for and that she didn't need it until we where done. <huge smile> she said "What!!" now she wouldn't have said that if it wasn't a little gross. lol she did like it in the end. her face was fresher.
1.i figured it would be a great thing to teach her for further down the road. 2. i figured at any age, stuff like this can't hurt 3. i'm sure there are other benafits to doing it.
next we did the 2eggs and 4tbsp olive oil hair treatment. mix the whole eggs, with the oil, rub in hair and massage in well, then wrap with seran wrap. This wasn't smelly or anything. i mean, it smelled like olive oil mostly. ilike the smell of that so it was fine. leave on ten minutes, then rinse well. it rinsed out pretty easily. nothing gross. then i washed my hair twice with shampoo to get out the oil. i use to live by hot oil treatments and i have sooo many expensive "Hair repair stuff by ST.Ives, Garnier, Revlon and the likes. This works just as good, and maybe even a little better then some of those. "Yes!!!" saving money for other things. i like that
