My Photographic Weekend at the AUSTRALIAN OPEN OF SURFING

I am a Manly local and have never surfed but I have spent my entire life living on the beaches and during school had about 20 surfboards at my house from my friends but never used one - I loved doing surf photography but haven't done any since school - and last and this weekend was and is my chance to continue with it as for the first time in about 20yrs (also since I was at school 
) Australia is hosting a World Class Event. THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN OF SURFING - it is seeing all the best surfers in the world head to Manly Beach to compete in a HUGE surfing contest. Manly has spent millions in building an amazing skate bowl that is the size of a enormous pool, there is also a stage with nightly bands also from the international stage and Manly has turned into a Mecca of hot tanned people that I want to kidnap
That being said - below is my collection of about 70 pics from the event - god this is going to take a long time to upload
Enjoy!! And guess what - this weekend is the Men's finals and is going to blow my mind and I will have hundreds of more pics to add to the collection.

That's it for day one - too tired to keep on posting - will put up day two tomorrow - and I am spewing - 2 days I have to miss of the event because of work and then I am living on the beach at Manly for the weekend rain hail or shine - cannot wait to see the men's final and my favourite surfer of all time - yes Kolohe Andino - I will be stalking all weekend hahahaha.
