My Passion

June 7th 2011 19:15
I'm listening to Shakira's new hit "Rabiosa". It's pretty catchy! It makes me want to dance. The video however, is not appropriate for children under 18. I just don't approve of her dancing on a pole practically naked. I wouldn't want my teen siblings watching that. I wish artists would think before making a video like that.

Anyway, it's 2:40pm on this lovely tuesday afternoon. My daughter just had her bottle. Now she's playing peacefully. Last night for dinner my husband made steak, peas & noodles. He's the cook of the house. It was pretty yummy =)

Here are some of the places where we get our healthy, delicious food from: Martindale's, The Family Cow(they do weekly drop points), Kimberton whole foods, and Hendricks farm.

So I came across this site helpusadopt.org. It's a non profit organization. I guess they make their money from donations. They give out grants to families who are looking to adopt. It's such an awesome site. I would love to create something like that. When I look at my daughter; Ava, all I can think about is how lucky I am to be her mother.

How can I make this happen for someone else? It's so hard to start from nothing. I'm of course am a stay at home mom, so I wouldn't be able to fund something like this. Also, I would like to find people who would like to donate their fertility drugs to other women in need. I know there has to be a way to do it (legally of course) and not get into trouble. I still have some of the treatments(follistim) left over that haven't expired yet. I've been meaning to get over to my old fertility clinic but I haven't been up that way in a long time. Maybe i'll stop by next week on my way to an appointment. I feel bad that I have been holding on to it when I can donate them. The clinic accepts leftover drugs.

Anyway, I do have a youtube channel that I was using while I was struggling with infertility. I was a part of the TTC (Trying To Conceive) community. We all gave eachother support, advice, friendship. Everyone has their own diagnosis(both explained or unexplained infertility). It's incredible how many of us are out there. I came across a lot of nice people. Once I had Ava, I stopped vlogging. She kept me busy and I didn't have time to edit and upload my videos but I still keep in contact with some of the ladies.

My passion would be to try to help other women reach their dreams. Either by conception or adoption. Help them find the resources. It's sad to know that money can keep you from being a parent. From my experience with going to a fertility clinic: Not only is the Invitro and the IUI expensive.. What about the countless doctor appointments (copays), time away from work(time=money), gas, and fertility treatments? It sucks!

Ava's acting like a mad woman.

Till tomorrow....
