My Lost Post
March 27th 2008 02:21
Please sympathise with me!!!
I spent my morning writing a clever, funny, cheeky post (I thought) with Cashmere Mafia as my subject. I thought I'd add images for the first time ever. I have a huge fear of the Copyright Cops and haven't tried images before.
I saved my draft once but when I went to save it again I got an error message.
I kept on writing, added my shiny images and then was just about to submit when I thought, "I'll just check Blog Advisor about these images."
Need I say more. I lost my post.
The reaction is physical - shaking, cold sweats, nausea (probably rather exaggerated I know - it's a blog post not a novel) but I just don't know if I can find those words again.
So now I have to go pick the kids up and go to my other (paid) job and have run out of time.
So my post today is in memory of The Lost Post - I pray for its resurrection.
F%$#!!!!!

This has happened to me and it's awful. I now do my posts in Word and then transfer across.
You have my commiserations, I know what it feels like!

I have that bloody crazy "McArthur Park" song on some sort of loop in my head,
"Someone left the cake out in the rain.
I don't think that I can take it,
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
woh woh"
Well it only took me about an hour, but you get the idea.
Thanks again Tracy.

I just copy and paste it into Orble and it works well for me

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I lost everything I had on my laptop when it died, so I can relate.
The memory of it will always be with you, though!
Also, as long as you write down where you got your images from, all is okay, I think.
