My Kit Kraft Order Arrived Today!

I ordered this stuff a few days ago and, happily, it arrived today! Let's open it!

So far, so good (I love it when orders are right!).

I thought it would be fun to make some of these flowers...someday.

Unfortunately, the store had a $15.00 minimum, and the loom kit was only $9.99, so I had to purchase a few extra things along with the loom. I scoured the store and didn't see anything else that I wanted, so I decided on some glue, which I can always use. This is a new glue called Fast Grab Tacky Glue. I'll try it out soon.

I am pleased with my order and with how quickly it arrived!

I've seen scarves and afghans made with flowers from those looms. I'm a teensy bit jealous

It took me months to decide to order it...it was pricey by my standards. The loom and the glues, plus shipping, cost me $29.06! My husband will throttle me if I don't use the loom, so I better get making those flowers-ha ha!

I am looming a baby hat right now on a "Knifty Knitter' as I read e-mail. You are going to love your looms. Provo craft (KK's) also makes a flower loom that is 12 pegs. If you do searches on "flower loom" you may find plenty of patterns. I have a green one like the yellow circle & I've made baby booties & preemie hats to donate to the hospitable. A lady named Brenda does amazing small things on the looms. loomlady.blogspot.com She just taught some Christmas ornament classes on the flower loom at LoomClass@yahoogroups.com . If you want me to find flower loom patterns for you - just let me know.
Your looms may be a little harder to start using than the knifty knitters - but give it time. One hint on tension: thread your yarn into a straw cut to about 3 inches and wrap with the straw. It will make it easier to knit with. lmmays@fuse.net

BTW ... I love your blog! I am interested in small things that can be used as Christmas tree ornaments for 24" trees. Your Barbie Christmas tree hat was the cutest!!!!

Thank you so much for the tips and for the compliments! I'll have a peeky around for the flower patterns.

I hope to get some small ornaments up one day!! My daughter has a pink tree that size that needs ornaments crocheted for it!
