My baby is a math genius !

According to this study, the brains of babies and young children are hard-wired for math and they can perform math tasks without even realizing it
Next time someone complains about arithmetic being hard, math lovers can defend themselves by saying “even a 6-month-old can do it.”
One study showed that babies have the ability to recognize and match numbers. When they heard two voices, they gazed at an image with two faces. And when they heard three voices, they looked at an image with three faces.
Another study illustrated that 5-year-olds can perform relatively complex math operations such as figuring out if the sum of two numbers is greater than or less than a third number
My kids at 4 can count upto 100 and can add or subtract single digit numbers because they don't realize they are doing boring math - they think they are playing with M&Ms or peanuts and they get to eat it once play is over.
So what makes most kids start hating math once they encounter it officially in elementary school?
Maybe this study will make educators and teachers re-think how math is being taught in schools. Try to make the subject more fun and engaging rather than a long and torturous class which is filled with abstract concepts and symbols.
