Must Do's in New York (Part 2) (LINK)

Alright so this the second installment on Must Do's in New York City. To be honest i could go on for a lifetime about what there is to do and see in New York, it is such a great city.
Okay so the next thing to do on your journey through NY is to try a slice of traditional NY pizza. Wow, absolutely fantastic. My favourite was the pepperoni, yum. You only need one or two slices to fill up on and it is so cheap. You would pay almost three times the amount in Australia for one of these slices of heaven.
You must go into a deli at some stage to try a few different things. Coffee, the brewed stuff. It cost about $1 varying from different places and they have such an assortment of different flavours. There is Brazillian, American expresso, white chocolate, french vanilla, italian, european and the list goes on. Another thing to try is the buffet. These buffets are charged by weight, so you could have a whatever you like from fresh salad, to smoked salmon and it all goes by weight. They also put on very cheap breakfasts, much much better than McDonalds, so dont waste your time at fast food outlets when you can pay less for a more tasty and nutritional meal. Trust me.
Cabs are cheap, so take the plunge and hail one of those baby's down. You have to be crafty though in peak hour because they dont stop for anyone. Dont let anyone jump your cab either, New Yorkens can be very pushy and somewhat intimidating. They dont care so dont think you owe anything to them.
You must experience the subway. At first it is a tad bit scary. I had absolutely no idea where i had to go to get to the place i wanted to be. So dont be afraid to ask people. I found the most helpful people with directions and advice for trains were police officers. The actual train station people are arrogant and scary and to be frank they just don't give a shit. If by any chance you have to go to Uniondale Colleseum for a hockey game make sure you do your research on which train you need to get on and what time. And if there is a long wait for the train on the way back catch a cab, Hampstead station is way too dangerous at night. We were stuck in this place for over an hour and i have never been so scared in my life. Gangs surround the area and lots of homeless people. Spend the $50 for a cab back to the city it will be well worth it.
If you have never seen a homeless person before, New York city is definately the place to spot one. They are everywhere, however most are harmeless. You cant help but feel compassionate towards them.
If you happen to be in Times Square at night time, keep an eye out for the homeless man that is holding a sign saying "I need change for beer", he is the funniest homeless man in New York City. If you stop to take a photo he will pull out a sign saying "Me too". It is well worth the loose change to get a photo.
Anyway thats enough for today, there is definately so much more to talk about.
