in keeping with our purple theme I thought you might want to see what murex look like?

I couldnt find any images of the actual animal but here are the shells!

I wonder how they discovered dye coukld be obtained?

Some one boiling hte flesh for food or some one boiling the flesh so it shrunk and soften and could be mor eeasily removed so the shell could be used for other purposes?

Perhaps a clay cooking pot changed color?

Anyone know and wanna share?

coming soon a purple design for IWD!
