movie review - Simpsons the movie
August 5th 2007 11:54
So its finally here... after 20 years of waiting.... The Simpsons family have finally hit the big screens.
Me being the can't-stop-watching-it-althou gh-I-just-don't-get-the-jokes -anymore fan I am I just had to see it.
So with my popcorn in hand and a severly overpriced still fanta I sat down to watch it.
Surprisingly the jokes were understandable and funny. In the first 10 minutes alone I had fanta coming out of my nose and the popcorn was sat on the floor in front of me forgotten.
The plot itself isn't entirely realistic, but when has this ever been the case when our favourite yellow family are on the screens. I must say though, what the writers have created here is nothing less than genious.
Everyone has seen the trailers that show homers "spider pig, spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does!" But I still couldn't hold in the giggles as Homer walked it along the ceiling.
I'm keeping this review short cos I don't wanna spoil the movie for those who haven't yet seen it. My message for them.... DROP EVERYTHING, GO TO YOUR LOCAL CINEMA RIGHT NOW AND DEMAND TICKETS TO SIMPSONS THE MOVIE RIGHT NOW... NO EXCUSES.
