Monster!!
November 23rd 2006 13:52
Apparently we now have a Monster living with us.
It's very big, blue and white with big big big spikey ears and a long long long tail. There wasn't any mention of teeth so I'm hoping we're going to be safe from this Monster.
But in case we're not save has anyone suggestions on how to keep a Monster at bay?

Your little one sounds adorable. Don't they have vivid imaginations at that age.
My three and a half year old son tells me that the Evil comes over to our place sometimes. He gets rid of it by whacking it with a big stick.
Seems to work every time.
Then again, I'm not sure if it works with monsters.

I'm not sure where it is now as Callum said it's been using the invisible ink pen to colour itself in.

Your son sounds just like mine. I love the imagination that children have at this age and it's so much fun to encourage it and play along.
I'm laughing at the image of your son whacking the evil with a stick. I don't think I'll suggest that to Callum though he'll end up whacking me no doubt.

I once used a bottle of monster repellant (water in a squirtbottle.) But then I read that doing that actually enforces that monsters exist...so use at your own risk! But it worked for my kids. We would spray the closet, over the door on both sides, down the vent and under the bed. Then I got the idea to put a humidifier in the room, with of course, monster repellant added. It worked like a charm. *smile*

The things we do for our children. I'll bare in mind the Monster Repellant although for the moment Callum seems quite happy to have him around.
Earlier this year we had to have a "friend" for Callum for bedtime as he became petrified of his bedroom saying it was scary and that a man was in there. So along came Sasquatch (I think that's how it's spelt) protector of dreams. It seemed to work, only now poor Sasquatch spends his moments in Time Out along with the other naughty action figures like Hulk and The Thing.
