Sea Breeze Beach

The book Sea Breeze Beach relates to the troubles and tribulations that a young Cuban boy experiences when his parents decide to leave the communist ruled island.
The story is set in the early 1960's and the parents of the boy attempt to flee the island together with other families on a prefabricated 19 foot boat.
The attempt to escape fails and the eight year old boy finds himself in the position of head of the household when his father is jailed by the Cuban government and he is forced to not only care for himself but also for his blind mother
