Money Does Buy Happiness

This Blog is in no means suppose to insult the rich or the poor. I just felt like writing something that I thought might be entertaining of some sort.
I don’t come from the richest of families… sure I live in the Eastern Suburbs and I went to an extremely expensive private school, and well… I have a roof over my head, but every time there is an argument within the household, it always eventually… comes down to money. You could be complaining about food, or the dog barking, or the TV is too loud… or why is my younger brother so dumb? It ultimately comes down to the money. If the food is bad and I had money, I could order take away, if the dog is too loud and I had money we could buy a bigger house and I could escape to the 4th level where I can’t hear her, if the TV is too loud I can run upstairs further away from the lounge room and if my brother was too dumb and I had money… I could get him some fucking help. So this whole bullshit parents say about “money doesn’t by happiness” is an absolute outrage. If I had money, I could offer to give my parents $20, for each argument where they avoid to say the statement. If I was naughty, or felt guilty about being rude to them, I could ask for some money… and go buy them flowers. Imagine what the spoiled little rich kids get every time their parents scream at them. I knew of a classmate once you got her first car when she got her P’s. It was a brand new rav4. Not the most expensive car, but it’s not a bomb either. Anyways after cruising around for a few months, she decided to have an accident! How pissed would your parents be, if your brand new car got a write-off after several months!! Well… not these ones, they gathered some money lying around the house (possibly spare toilet paper – don’t quote me on that, not 100% sure), and not only got her a new car… they actually made it a surprise… they didn’t tell her she was getting a new car… furthermore… it was a fucking convertible! Does that even make sense? I think not.
.....and I say "fuck you" to that!

i used to wonder about that one as well - can money buy you happiness? the short answer is "shit yeah!". the long answer is not as simple. it's boring as batshit, but you never appreciate the value of anything until you've earned it. if your class mate had bought that rav4 with her own money, you can bet there's no way on earth she'd have crashed it.
