Monday NBA Plays

December 10th 2012 16:14
Recap from last night: Not too bad of a night overall with a few of my lower priced guys finishing higher than expectations. Russell Westbrook was my main guy yesterday finishing with 40 fantasy points while Kobe finished with 37 fantasy points. Mo Williams 36 fantasy points and Gerald Wallace 37 fantasy points were great value plays yesterday. Not a real big card tonight with six games but here are a few guys I am looking at for tonight:

Greg Monroe vs. Philadelphia: There are not many centers on the board tonight that I like besides Monroe. Monroe will face a Philly team that allows 39.6 fantasy points per game to centers. In the first meeting with Philly this season Monroe had 39 fantasy points which included 19 points with 18 rebounds. The price tag on Monroe has come down a bit due to his recent struggles but look for that trend to end tonight against a Philly team that he should beat up on again.

David Lee vs. Charlotte: David Lee has been on fire as of late. Over the last three games Lee has had three double-doubles in which he is averaging 35 fantasy points per game. Tonight Lee gets a match-up with the Bobcats who are allowing opposing power forwards to average 42 fantasy points per game. In last seasonís meeting Lee had 43 fantasy points against Charlotte. Charlotte does not have the big men to contain Lee; I feel we should see another big night from him tonight. The price tag is high but he should be well worth it tonight.

LaMarcus Aldridge vs. Toronto: Aldridge gets a match-up with the Raptors tonight whom is allowing 37.9 fantasy points per game to power forwards this season. Aldridge continues to do what he does best with three straight double-doubles the last three games. Over the span of the last three games Aldridge has averaged 37 fantasy points per game the last three games. He is another guy with a higher price tag but he should be well worth it tonight.

Luke Babitt vs. Toronto: Keep an eye on the injury list to make sure Nicholas Batum is not playing tonight. Right now he is doubtful and if that is the case Babitt will get the start which could end up being a strong sleeper pick tonight. Babitt played 27 minutes in Saturday nightís game against Sacramento in which he filled in for Batum who left with an injury and he ended up with 17 fantasy points. Tonight he will face a Toronto team that is allowing 33.3 fantasy points per game to small forwards and it is always a great opportunity for these guys who get spot starts to showcase their skills for future employment down the road. If you follow the injury report and you see Batum is out tonight then Babitt is a steal for you with how cheap he is priced.

Dwayne Wade vs. Atlanta: Everyone talks about LeBron James when they mention Miami; you cannot forget they have another guy who is a star player in this league. Wade has put up respectable numbers as of late averaging 29.8 fantasy points his last four games and now gets a matchup with the Hawks who allow 35.3 fantasy points per game to shooting guards. Wade did not play in the first meeting with Atlanta this season but he did average 34.7 fantasy points in three games last season against the Hawks. He is priced reasonably and should be able to grab you 30 plus fantasy points.

Brandon Knight vs. Philadelphia: Here I go again with Brandon Knight. I played him the other night and he had a huge fantasy night scoring over 40 fantasy points at such a cheap price tag. Tonight I am going to go with him one again vs. a Philly team that allows 37 fantasy points per game to point guards. In the first meeting this season with Philly Knight had 27 fantasy points which he should be able to duplicate again if not more. I donít think we see a 40 plus fantasy point night but I do like the possibility of 27 -33 fantasy points for a guy who is priced reasonably.

Tyreke Evans vs. Dallas: Evans is dealing with a knee injury and has played just once in the last four games in which he had 30 fantasy points against Toronto. If Evans is good to go tonight you might want to make sure he is in your lineup. Evans gets a matchup against a Dallas team that is allowing 37.2 fantasy points per game to point guards thanks to Darren Collison who is undersized against these guys he is matched up with. Before his injury Evans was starting to get hot averaging 36.3 fantasy points per game the three games before the injury bug hit him.

I hope everyone has been participating in the daily fantasy basketball contests and is making some money off these players that I have been throwing out there each night. If you have been missing out on all the fun then jump into one of those daily fantasy sports sites and get involved. The season has just started we have plenty of time to make some money in these contests.

Good Luck Everyone!
