Monday NBA Plays

December 3rd 2012 22:00
Recap from yesterday: it was not the greatest day for me in daily fantasy football yesterday with Beanie Wells doing next to nothing and Ryan Broyles doing pretty much nothing also since he went down early with an injury. Trent Richardson, Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning and Wes Welker put up outstanding numbers which kept me in the money until majority of the guys in my league had Bryce Brown from Philly who tore up the Cowboys. Back to NBA tonight and here are some guys who I like for tonight.

Brandon Knight vs. Cleveland: Knight gets a matchup tonight with a Cleveland team that ranks in the bottom five for fantasy points allowed to point guards. Knight has seen an inconsistent amount of minutes this season. He will go a few games where he will play 30 plus minutes then he will see games where he is playing 28 or less. He should get a strong amount of minutes tonight since he should be able to take it to this Cleveland defense. His price tag if cheap and his upside is there I like the risk with him tonight score at least 25 fantasy points.

Wesley Mathews vs. Charlotte: Mathews is another guy who has a reasonable price tag with a great matchup tonight. Mathews gets to face off against a Charlotte team who ranks in the bottom five for fantasy points allowed to shooting guards. We saw Mathews hit a rough patch for two games against Washington and Boston but came back last game and finished with 26 fantasy points. Look for him to keep that going tonight against a team in Charlotte who has allowed an average of 35 fantasy points per game to shooting guards.

Chris Paul vs. Utah: Sometimes you have to take the best player at a position if you want to put yourself over the top. Tonight that is Chris Paul for me. Paul should see his regular load of minutes tonight in which we should see some outstanding numbers. Paul was averaging 37.3 fantasy points his last four games until he faced Sacramento his last time out and dropped 25 fantasy points in 21 minutes (what would have happen if he would have played 35 minutes like usual). I will take a shot with him again tonight as I think he plays his usual minutes and puts up big numbers.

LaMarcus Aldridge vs. Charlotte: The Bobcats are going to have their hands full with Aldridge tonight who is averaging 36.5 fantasy points the last four games. Aldridge gets to keep his fantasy success going against a struggling Charlotte defense. Charlotte allows the third most fantasy points to power forwards this season. Charlotte ranks dead last for rebounds allowed per game, blocks allowed per game and assists allowed per game. The line on this game is telling me that this is going to be one team running away from the other so Aldridge should see his usual amount of time on the court. I will spend the money as I see him having a big night tonight.

Alonzo Gee vs. Detroit: Gee should see a much larger role tonight with Kyrie Irving out and Dion Walters banged up who might not play tonight. Gee is not having all that great of a season but he will be the leader tonight on this Cavs team that is going to be without Irving and looks like Walters also. His price tag is right now we should see a solid evening from him.

Andrea Barganani vs. Denver: Looking at some of the centers ahead of Barganani tonight I do not feel that comfortable with the matchups. A lot of people will be on Anderson Varejao but he has a very tough matchup with Detroit Greg Monroe. Al Jefferson is another one people will jump on but DeAndre Jordan from the Clippers is not push over on defense. I will take Barganani tonight since his price is reasonable and he gets to face a Denver team that allows 100.1 points per game, 50.4 rebounds per game, 6.5 blocks per game, 9.1 steals per game and 24 assists per game. I think we should see Barganani put a nice stat line across the board here tonight to get us close to 30 fantasy points. Iíll take a chance with the reasonable price tag and his upside tonight.

Hopefully this will help some of you fantasy addicts out there. I got this out a little late today but wthere is still plenty of time to get your lineup and make some money in daily fantasy basketball.

Good Luck Everyone!
