Mom's Chocolate Cake

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cups cocoa
1 1/2 baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs
1 cupmilk
1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour cake pan. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2minutes. Stir in boiling water ( batter will be thin, this is normal). Pour into pans.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to plate.Let cool completely. Frost.
