Tokidoki meets LeSportsac

August 1st 2007 11:55
When I first met tokidoki it was through a cute carry bag in which I found on a forum back in the ninth grade. Ever since then, I have fallen in love with this extremely cute brand which sells a range of merchandise from jewelry to bambinos to watches to belt buckles and now even t-shirts.

Just a few weeks ago, I was in my office kitchen and one of my colleagues had a very cute, tokidoki like backpack. I soon found out that the brand of the bag was called LeSportsac when I visited Singapore just two weeks ago and once again, I instantly fell in love with the design. Being a curious person, when I returned to Australia, I logged onto the LeSportsac website to take a look at their items only to spot possibly, in my opinion the cutest collaboration ever. Tokidoki had collaborated with LeSportsac!!

9518 Luna - tokidoki for LeSportsac

The above picture is one of the two travel bags LeSportsac displays on their website. The wine case bag is 24.77 x 45.72 x 24.77 cm and comes with an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap. In my opinion, this is probably one of the smartest designs ever (speaking from a designer's point of view) as you can place almost anything inside. You can even use it as a wine case!

The 9528 Trenino (below) is probably what every Japanese female or a female such as myself would search the entire world for. It's dimensions are 30.48 x 39.37 x 19.05 cm which is not too chunky but spacious enough for those who carry a lot of items in their bag such as water, make up, food and so forth. The most important thing is that it is stylish so you can carry it anywhere. For students and stylish business people too, you can place school books or documents in the bag and at the same time it will be spacious enough to allow you to deposit your personal belongings too! I will definitely be ordering one for myself.

9506 Bambiino - tokidoki for LeSportsac

If you are the very trendy type of person who doesn't like to carry big bags around while shopping or meeting with friends then I think that the 9506 Bambino is definitely great for you! At 12.07 x 15.24 x 8.89 cm, it is not so big or small but enough to fit the basic essentials and maybe some small items you buy but best of all, it is very unique and stylish compared to most imitative branded bags available today. Definitely an attention seeker!

9519 Canguro - tokidoki for LeSportsac

Last but not least, I would like to share with everyone in what I think has got to be the smartest, greatest and most stylish design of the year, the 9519 Canguro (above)! With dimensions 5.5 x 15.25 in, 13.97 x 38.74 cm, it is perfect for use as a bean bag or a small carry bag to carry around while exercising. We all know that being stylish is important but having adequate exercise and help you maintain a beautiful body shape and skin to match the stylish and fashionable clothes and accessories you wear. I have always looked for a bean bag or small carry bag of some sort to place my water, liftoff, towel and mp3 inside while going for a run or to the gym and this is something I will definitely purchase as it is not only what I am looking for, but best of all, it is stylish!!

To my knowledge, LeSportsac and Tokidoki items are not available in shops in Australia but it is possible that department stores such as Myer and David Jones may have some in stock. You can purchase tokidoki and LeSportsac items at http://www.lesportsac.com and http://www.tokidoki.it/.

Akira Isogawa - The King of Zen

July 26th 2007 13:50
Akira Isogawa is my favourite fashion designer of all time not because of his mix of cultures but because of the amount of simplicity he uses, it makes a certain piece of clothing detailed. I was always a big fan of decorative and very detailed things yet the beauty of Isogawa's work is that it can be complex, simple and beautiful at the same time, giving us the feeling of Zen.

Akira Isogawa dress

Have a look at this dress (above) for example. This is a very pretty fairy-like dress with alot of detail, yet if you actually strip it, strip it of it's decoration, texture and patterns, it becomes a very plain and loosely fitted dress. This is the beauty of Isogawa's designs, he keeps it so simple that when we see it, we say to ourselves "Why didn't I think of that?".

Again, with this beautiful dress, you can see that if you remove the textures and printing on the dress, it really is just a peaceful black dress and I definitely find this amazing because I think that this is how one achieves the state of peace in Isogawa's magical creations.

Akira Isogawa top and bottom

In my opinion, I think that one of Isogawa's most successful creations would be this white top and bottom. It indeed is sexy but not in an extremely revealing way. Many of us would relate sexy to either revealing or a lot of lace, however, in Isogawa's design, the clothes are actually simple and it is that simplicity which makes the figure look sexy but not stretching away from that idea of Zen.

Of course as with all designers, Isogawa's work is not for everyone. Indeed he is popular, but just because he is popular, this does not mean that everyone will like it. The important thing about Isogawa lovers is that we must understand his idea of Zen and why he does the things he do. We must also be able to see peace in his works and even though they may not look good on you, we must love it in every way we can.

The Colour Red

July 25th 2007 14:13

Did you know that the colour red represents Passion, love, danger and death? They are such great opposites but they all have one thing in common - Red is a fashionable colour. This bright fad all started when I was looking through an old magazine and spotted a very nice red Dolce and Gabbana winter coat. My friend then gave me a trendy red Mimco bag (pictured above) for my birthday and I thought that Red will be pretty fashionable this year. Soon enough, every single shop I went to started stocking more and more Red clothes and I believe that this colour will be the latest trend all throughout winter.

So what exactly is nice when it comes to red? There are many ideas one can come up with and the important thing is to be creative. Here are some simple and fashionable red items we can obtain from most clothing stores.

We all know that winter in Australia is an extremely cold season as a result of all the global warming that has been happening so the most important thing is to have a big red coat to wrap up ourselves in. This red coat I actually like alot because it is trendy and also have alot of buttons with a nice collar, suitable for wearing at work and also while shopping. Red coats match with almost anything but they go especially well with black pants.

For a feminine look but also to keep your professional image for work, I would suggest matching red with either black, a designer's favourite colour to wear. Wearing a black coat and pants will make you look slim but also make your red sweater stand out and give you that very feminine yet professional look. Something great to wear to work!

If you're planning to go shopping, clubbing or partying, a cute red top is excellent, whether it is revealing or not. This cute red top (pictured above) is the trend of them season, as it is made out of wool with cute little pom poms on the pockets. The style of this top is actually rather fashionable ever since the black, white and grey trend had started for winter so be sure to look out for this item if you love the style of this top but would love to own it in a colour.

on LA Galaxy home kit 2007

I actually have one of these LA Galaxy Jerseys since the company I work for is the No. 1 nutritional sponsor of the LA Galaxies and I must say I am proud of my team.

I think that most celebrities/stars earn more for endorsements than for their talent but then again, if they never had talents, no one would ask them to endorse their products. So in short, Beckham is a soccer legend and that is a fact.
