Mets Finally Clinch Division Title

They struggled lots in the city of steel
Pirates robbed them of ballgame after game
Sped out of the gate but lately seemed lame
How was a last place team such an ordeal?
Were they exhausted and ready to keel?
Soon they would have to find someone to blame
For a breakdown bringing heartache and shame
But back home they played like 'twas a big deal
Thanks to their pitching being simply great
And a second baseman who's named Jose
Who belted two pitches quite a long way
They did what they hadn't since eighty-eight
They can lose thirteen straight games of baseball
Rebound in the playoffs, and win it all
They can do that but I wouldn't recommend it. Getting used to losing is not something that any competitive team or person should do.
