"Meteor Review":
Meteor is a movie that was made in 1979. 1979 was a wonderful year for entertainment. There was Star Trek, an Australian release of Gulliver's Travels, and another movie called Meteor.
Many people did not like Meteor during its original release.
What is not to like about Meteor?!
One thing that I really like about Meteor its use of The Blaster Beam. If you don't know what a Blaster Beam is, and you probably don't, it is an enormous electric guitar. And now picture yourself playing this type of device whenever you hear The Meteor approaching. You can easily figure out how The Blaster Beam works. The Blaster Beam was played whenever The Meteor approached. It was also played when the technological monster "V'Ger" on Star Trek !: The Motion Picture appeared. The Blaster Beam was played slightly differently on each film. You can still recognize the similarities with these two movies. I think of Meteor as a 20th century version of Star Trek I.
There may have been script problems with Meteor. (causing it to appear to be boring) I believe that the films apparent boredom creates a feel of a classic film.
According to Wikipedia, this movie is similar to Armageddon. However, I think of Armageddon as Titanic and not even close to Meteor. I think that Meteor is much better. You just can't beat a film with a Classic Film feel, (even if other people do not like it). I also think that Deep Impact is better than Armageddon.
I also do not know how well Meteor compares with other films with at Classic Film feel, but remember it was made in 1979, an excellent year for entertainment programs. I still believe that Meteor is worth watching. I recommend that everybody watches this film.
