Meet my Friend, Jesus

Does sharing your faith leave you cold? Do you tire of trying to help when others turn a deaf ear?
Don't you wish you could drag Jesus by the arm saying, "I'd like you to meet my friend, Jesus?"
Take a moment and imagine what it must have been like for Peter -- hanging out with Jesus, eating all that fresh fish, and listening to all that wisdom hour after hour.
Whenever he came across someone who needed help, he could just grab Jesus by the arm and introduce him. Or take him to visit.
Remember Peter's mother-in-law who was sick at her house? One visit from Jesus and she was up and at-em, fixing a meal for her guests.
It seems much tougher these days. A lot of times we are misunderstood, and we can become discouraged. If you struggle in that area, why don't you say a prayer, and share this column with someone?

For all those who are facing tough times, whose lives seem empty and without purpose, I would like to take a little time -- and space -- to introduce you to my friend, Jesus.
I used to feel like you -- alone and scared. Life posed many questions and challenges I knew I lacked the wisdom to face.
But all that has changed now that I know Jesus. I could not want for a better friend in the entire world.
That's because he is God and he is love. He knows everything and can do everything. I know he is on my side and ready to help, whenever I call.
Because of my friend, Jesus, I do not have to fear my mistakes and their consequences. I do not have to fear facing my maker when I die.
I know Jesus has already taken care of that for me.
I don't have to fear facing tomorrow and whatever challenge it may bring. I know Jesus will see me through it.
No, I can't drag Jesus by the arm to introduce him to to you, like Peter could. But, I assure you, he is with me. And I don't have to drag him!
I know because I asked him into my heart and life. I know because I enjoy his sweet presence, his peace, and his comfort.
I know he is blessing me with wisdom and all I need every day.
The good news is he wants to do the same for you. All you have to do is ask.
"For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:11-13
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
"Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." John 15:13-15

I ALWAYS LIKE TO BE IN AGREEMENT WHEN IT COMES TO GOD'S WORD. LET THE WORD OF GOD BE RIGHTLY DIVIDED.
