marketing on Facebook

Facebook has given third party developers the ability to create tools through Facebook API. All seem to be very helpful. We have found some that can help improve your marketing success on Facebook. They are listed below.

Marketing Tools for Facebook

• Networked Blogs – Networked Blogs gives you an easy way to connect your corporate blog to your Facebook page. When you set up an account, you will be able to post your blog articles to your business page on Facebook automatically. This is a free application.
• Wildfire – If you have ever wanted to run a contest on Facebook, you know they have some very strict guidelines you must adhere to. Wildfire comes to the rescue with its application. It enables you to create coupon giveaways and contests easily. You create the contest or coupon on Wildfire. A tab will be posted on your Facebook fan page, linking to the promotion. You can also post it on your website. This application costs $5 per campaign and $.99 per day for each day the campaign runs. Therefore, a ten-day promotion would cost $14.99.
• Facebook Social Plugins – Facebook offers some free widgets to help drive traffic by sharing content. A couple of the more powerful plugin’s are the Recommendations Plugin and the Like Button.
• Liveworld’s Facebook Forum 2.0 – It is not an easy task managing a Facebook fan page. Liveworld has developed their Facebook Forum 2.0 to help with the task. It allows businesses to moderate and respond to Facebook comments and provides useful analytics. This is a paid application. Unfortunately pricing is not posted publicly.

If you are developing an online marketing strategy, you will need to decide if Facebook marketing is right for your company. You may need to do some testing to be certain. Facebook has had a positive impact for many companies.

Do you use any other tools to improve your marketing on Facebook?
