Missing my best friend wrap="0
I lost my best friend two weeks ago.I knew his time was coming,as he was 14 years old.But suddenly he's gone.
Every time I go some place and come home,it's like realizing it all over again. You mourn. You hurt. And then after you get through the first part,wham,the migraine hits.Why? Why can't I at least have this time without this pain.
Many times my dog,Chip would cry with me as I would rock and cry with migraine pain. Even after he had recently lost his hearing,he would still be with me and cry with me.
I thank God for the gift of Chip,for all the years of his friendship. All the times he could make me smile.These are the thoughts I am clinging to now.
I believe that Chip will always watch over me. And that he would not want me to be sad.
If this migraine pain would just let me alone to get through this,to remember Chip and to be able to mourn so that I can think of him and smile,the way he wants me to and not be sad.

Halloween
I made it to the Halloween party my daughter has each year.It was so much fun to watch the kids playing and having fun.I forget what it's like to be out among other people.
The word fun is something not usually in my life.Pain is like a sponge,it sucks the life out of you.It is you.You are the pain.Even though it's been this many years of chronic migraine,people don't get it.
Your spouse or partner may try to understand,but I believe most just get tired of it.As if we choose pain,ask for it.I want a life without pain.I'm not just tired.I want a life.I want to be able to do things,go places.
With the weather now a major trigger for me,there are starting to be more bad days than good.I was just getting my hopes up because the opposite was true for awhile.I was hoping that I'd be able to enjoy the holidays this year.
I hold on to the hope,yet I have so much fear.The pain that I find myself in today is so bad.
The top of my head throbs,sharp shooting pains that start to go down the back of my head.My face throbs.
I feel sick.I am lightheaded.I am so tired,no amount of sleep gives me the rest I need.
I cannot believe in a world full of so many advances that more is not done where migraine is concerned.There are so many people suffering in silence,ashamed to go to a doctor for help because of a "headache". How many times I've gone to the er for help and hear the words from the doctors & nurses "Oh,a headache."
So,today I'll pretend I'm ok.I'll exhaust myself even more by putting on a mask.How fitting for this time of year.

happy halloween
I am excited because it's been several years since I have been able to go to the big Halloween party my oldest daughter has each year.Migraine has kept me home.I have had a higher level of pain in the past 2 months than I was,but this is not going to keep me away.
All my daughters and grandchildren will be there.My daughter and her husband go all out for this holiday.I can't wait.Having been basically homebound for the four years,I am trying hard to crawl out of my hole

It is 31 years together.We have grown up together,really.We were young and of course most people did not think we'd make it.We have raised three beautiful,strong daughters.We have four wonderful grandchildren

This is a low.I don't know what to do.I've had good days,now it's not good.I'm on edge,I'm tired.
Please know that if you have migraine attacks,highs and lows can be a sign of an upcoming migraine.
Chronic migraine,I'm finding plays games with my emotions.I don't always have a higher level of pain afterward,but sometimes it does

I see Botox is back in the news again,for migraineurs.Hmmm.........and it may be approved by the FDA in a few years.And how many years have I been hearing this...at least since 2005.

The weather has done a real number on my head.Right now the sun is out but we've had lots of rain lately.
My head hurts so bad right now.It's time for me to go lay down,got my 2 favorite throws,my favorite pillow.I have my dramamine,which I think I'll end up taking soon.
This just is so bad.And emotionally,I don't want to go to the er,I don't want to have this high level pain.I get so mad

So,I was looking for migraine news and there is a story I want to place here.In Shreveport Louisiana,there is an 18 year old pregnant migraineur.She suffers both severe migraines and severe asthma and needs medical attention.It is known that she had no meds for either condition when she left home.

I get bloodwork done every months because of a thyroid problem.They say I'm ok,but there's debates about accuracy of tests.
I've been going thru this for so long,that I do go back and try things again.What didn't work before,may work now.
I just went thru the cleansing/detoxing your body.I feel even tho it didn't get rid of migraine,I will do it every 4 months.I think it's healthy.
For me,I want to go into the hospital long enuf to be on an iv to find the combo of med to stop the pain.I've done tons of reading & been on alot of forums...I feel something's triggered the pain signal in my brain,they have to find something to stop it.
I had insurance,I no longer do,thanks to the insurance co saying my thyroid was pre-existing(after getting treatment for 1yr)So,I lost all my drs.Now,it's progressed to chronic migraine.And w/out ins,can't qualify for medicaid,here I am.
