My Wits End

So I say I won’t stand for a cheat, blah blah whatever – sometimes it’s not about cheating it’s about dignity and this time I’m talking about Mario Kart. Yes, the Nintendo 64 game – you know the one, don’t try to hide it!
Well I haven’t figured out how to cheat yet but by crikey I think I’m on the brink of starting an online search – and it’s so unlike me!
Do I need help?
Therapy?
I think I just need to win.
I have a confession to make before I go any further. I have recently developed a serious addiction to Mario Kart Versus…you know where you have a race with one or more other players. SO it’s not you against a computer, it’s war. And it’s sooooo much fun.
The problem is I’m really crap at this game and my nemesis is bloody great. He has mastered the power slide, which I was casually told is a quick left or right of the controller and hold down jump at the same time. I game myself RSI over this and surprisingly it doesn’t work.
Does somebody want to let me in on a secret here? No really, this is serious I need help, lots of help.
So now I’m torn…do I search for a cheat? Is there even a cheat? The only way I managed to win one out of 22 games – I am not proud of those odds – is by psychological tomfoolery. I made him feel sorry for me and wait then I happened to forget to tell him that I had over taken.
Some would say that doesn’t count as a win.
I left after that game – on a high note.
Now I’m ashamed – but wanting to get even and win for reals…well at least in a way that my nemesis THINKS is for reals…google here I come.
