TOP COACHES OF 2008

September 20th 2008 05:22
Arsene Wenger

It has been a long year and exciting year for all involved in Football but it has been hardest of all for the coaches and managers.

People tend to forget about the influence a coach can have on the player and on the team.

It seems that only coaches who dont succeed of fail in some way are put in the spotlight whereas good coaches are often taken for granted.

This year lets give credit to people who give who dont just provide us with good footballer but who produce a great team.

Arsene Wenger. Assigned as manager of Arsenal in September of 1996, Wenger has transformed Arsenal into England's and Europe's most respectable football club. Being a footballer himself but not a highly successfull one Wenger turned to coaching in 1981. Wenger is currently the clubs most successful and longest running manager. His abilities to transform footballers into leadners is one of the main reason why he receives his position as 2008 NO.1 COACH.

PREMIER LEAGUE KICKOFF

August 18th 2008 20:06
What better news can you hear? The Premier League has started and already Chelsea is on top of the leader board.

But then again Aston Villa, Bolton, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham United, Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Hall City are all avergared the same on the board.

Its still too already to tell who the stands outs will be this season and with the Olympic games taking place at he same time many footballer will return to the competition tired.

But it's not only the Premier League that's started the Euo Cup had it's first official matchs. A Popular team that will try to win the trophy this sesson is AC Milan who failed to qualify for the Uefa Champions league.

Surely an impressive game to be seen this season with the level of competition raised by a level or two.

Premier League off season news

July 5th 2008 13:02
With the European Football season over, transfers are on everyones lips.

During the Euro Cup, young players had the opportunity to show what they've got and the stand out in the competion was Andrei Arshavin who is currently being chased down by Chelsea and Barcelona, though he is more likely to join Stamford Bridge than Camp Nou.

The young midfielder was just one of Russia's impressive line-up at the Euro Cup. Roman Pavlyuchenko caught the eye of Sir Alex Ferguson. He is amongst the list of Purchases for Manchester United.

One of the only confirmed signings for this season is Samir Nasri's move to Arsenal. The 21 year old French Internatinal will also be joined by Aaron Ramsey, a young new talent from Wales.

However Emmanual Adebayor's future with Arsenal, Ac Milan or Bacelona is still uncertain. Arsene Wenger is sure that Adebayor will stay with the Gunners for following season but no plans have been made so far.

An unbelievable victory for Russia as they triumph over netherland 3-1 at St.Jakob-park.

A sea of orange took over the stadium and it was no doubt who the favourites were in this game but Russia had some tricks up it sleeves too, from good old Guus Hidink
