Along with this superb quality, it is also a tranquilizer and can heal the body in a number of ways including:
• stops the division and growth of tumors

• cures eczema
• gets rid of headaches and migraines
• diminishes or eliminates symptoms of gout
• alleviates colic
• controls symptoms of ADHD
• potent anti-histamine elements

Homeopathic Remedies for Gallstones

November 11th 2009 16:06
Gallstones are common so having a natural remedy for them is necessary. I have comprised a list of safe and effective homeopathic medicines that can eliminate symptoms while ridding the body of the stones. Remember to follow homeopathic dosage and never take the potent form of the elements.

Berbis Vulgaris: sharp stabbing pains that range through the groin, pelvic and back area.
Calcarea Carbonica: swollen abdomen, chest pain, exhaustion, clammy hands, chills.
Chelidonium Majus: pain is generally confined to the back, shoulders and chest.
Colocynthis: painful cramping
Nux Vomica: pain seems to travel in an upward motion, swollen abdomen, nausea, chills, cramping, with severe irritability.
Podophyllum: constipation or hard stools.
Herbal remedies such as this are available in my book Medicinal Nature available through Amazon.

The Many Benefits of Chicory

November 6th 2009 16:03
Chicory is considered by many to be a weed. But little do these people realize that it is also a very nutritious plant. It is versatile and all parts can be eaten. It grows pretty much anywhere and can often be found in vacant land lots, fields, and even alongside the road. The roots can be boiled and serve as a vegetable, the leaves can be washed and become a nutritious salad and if one wished to have a drink such as coffee they can toast the root and crush it to deliver a warm substitute.

The Medicinal Uses of Bearberry

November 2nd 2009 22:43

The small evergreen Bearberry grows along the ground. On this plant grows bright red berries. The berries are nutritious for the body but so are the leaves. The leaves can be consumed to improve the function of the kidneys and bladder. This plant has also been used during and prior to the 1800’s to break up stones in the bladder. Picking the leaves in the fall will allow them to reach their full medicinal potency.

The Uses of Alder

Alder is a tree that closely resembles a birch tree. Typically the inner bark is used to treat ailments. A person can either use the bark to apply topically to cuts, scrapes or even burns by chewing yet careful not to suck any of the nutrients or “medicinal qualities” from it. Milkweed

October 23rd 2009 22:36

Milkweed is most often considered a nuisance. But, if you are out hiking, lost or hungry and have no food this little weed can become a life saver. It is most recognizable by its fluffy seeds. These are highly flammable and can start a fire with ease, only a small spark is needed. The buds, shoots and tops can be eaten after they have been boiled. They are pleasant in taste and can keep your energy levels up.

Increasing Omega 3

October 14th 2009 22:32
Omega 3’s are important, I can not stress it enough. I know that I have written about this aspect of nutrition and prevention before but it is always worth repeating. By not getting enough omega 3 fatty acids in our diets we run a very high risk of heart disease, obesity, cancer and the effects of aging. Supplements are good but natural sources are always better. Foods are where the most benefits are found. The foods that are extremely high in omega 3’s are:
• Dark leafy greens
• Meats

on The Benefits of Pomegranate

September 16th 2009 14:22
Hey Wilson,
One way to get the nutrients from them is to juice them. I felt the same way about the seeds, so I decided to take the fruit, cut it in half then use an orange juice squeezer as if to make orange juice. Just be careful with the juice cause it can stain.

This is just horrid!! I read about this on another site too- the problem is that the last judge took away the dad's right to appeal!!!!!!! It is really funny, murderers get to appeal like 3 or 4 times right? But this dad that has been so wrongly treated when HE RAISED the kid is NOT entitled to an appeal! This is just crazy! Absolutely disgusting!

on Making Flour Naturally

Hi Lara. It does take some time. It can be dried throughout the night or during the day- depending on the amount it can take around 8 hours. Also, it depends on what you are making as to how much you'll need.
